Posted September 5, 201410 yr I present my 1980 Red Trans Am. It is a very sturdy build. Functions include steering via the red knob on trunk (Think 1978 948: Go-Kart), removable T-tops, and opening doors. http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// And video https://www.youtube....h?v=b_T4HSlT0PY
September 5, 201410 yr Great job representing the Firebird logo on the hood. Excellent. Edited September 5, 201410 yr by JDC
September 6, 201410 yr Author Thanks all! I used only bricks I had on hand to make it, which made the build fun and challenging. Compromises sometimes lead to good things. Bonus feature: I've included the option to add LEDs, but omitted it for the purposes of the contest. and low beams Also the build is 16 studs wide by 44 studs long.
September 6, 201410 yr Such an awesome model! True story my parents nearly brought that exact car! I have a 78' on my desk right now and looks so good! My only crit would be that the roof is a touch low, other than that perfect!
September 6, 201410 yr Author Thanks Guys! I'm glad you like the logo. I had some other ideas for it too, but lacked the pieces. I am going to slowly be working on a black version and will be making some improvements to things I think could be done better. That will require some brick orders though. My only crit would be that the roof is a touch low, other than that perfect! You're right and I can easily tweak that area, although as it is I feel it gives it a strong muscle car stance / vibe.
September 17, 201410 yr Great one! Originally I thought about to build the white one. (Using the slopes sideways for more "rounded" look of the body, but I got stacked at the mud-stoppers).
