trooperdavinfelth Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 I think the hailfire droid's wheels are the same wheels as the ones on the mobile devastator. Wow! That's pretty small! Well, then again, mf size. Good call, GMV! Quote
Piranha Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Indeed we could go on and on about the flaws in all the PT films, but i agree lets not.......damn you lucas for killing darth maul in the first bloody film >:-( :-D You make me laugh Darth Maul had to die so Anakin could one day become Palpatine's New Apprentice Ouch getting cut in half would have to hurt alot Jango,Boba and General Grievous died pathetically Boba got pushed into the sarlacc(but he escaped later) Jango got his head cut off(he could have ducked or down something then just stand around) General Grievous was supposed to be an expert in lightsaber battle and gets defeated by Obi-Wan!! *wacko* ROTS was a pretty good movie though The Kashyyyk Battle scenes should have been longer Mustafar Battle was great The order 66 part was sad and messed up The part when Ki-adi-mundi yells "Come On" to his Clone troopers or Galatic Marines And they just start shooting him was prick Same when Aalya Secura gets blasted(she didn't even get a chance to activate her saber before she died) Getting off topic there so I'll stop Piranha Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 some sources say that maul get mechanical legs and some that they made a clone or something from him, and he died a few times more like palpatine, being killed by ben, luke, and vader. that is just sad Quote
Starwars4J Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 :-D You make me laughDarth Maul had to die so Anakin could one day become Palpatine's New Apprentice Ouch getting cut in half would have to hurt alot Maul didn't have to die until Ep 3...one of the things I hate most about the PT was that they never KEPT a villain around long enough for you to hate him! Maul got two words and about 10 minutes of screentime. Dooku (who would have been better as just a Dark Jedi IMO) got maybe a half hour, and thrown away at the start of Ep 3, and Grievous? :-X Don't get me started :-| What a total waste of a character! Boba got pushed into the sarlacc(but he escaped later) Well again, that didn't happen in the movies, and that's A-level canon :-D some sources say that maul get mechanical legs and some that they made a clone or something from him, and he died a few times more like palpatine, being killed by ben, luke, and vader. that is just sad That didn't happen :-P What you heard about was an Infinities comic book that was drawn. Quote
captaintau Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 OK, two reasons Darth Maul got little screen time: 1. The relevence of Count Dooku / Darth Tyranus. He was Qui-Gon's master, after all. Also, IF you accept that Anakin was concieved via midi-chlorian manipulation by Darth Plaguleis then everything up to the rise of DV is part of a large plot to effect that. In fact, Palpy has several potential Sith Apprentices constantly, should any previous die (as Maul did) 2. Ray Park is a damned good Wushu practitioner, but he can't act for toffee! Oh and regards the death of General G, well yes he's a lightsaber master, but he has no connection to The Force and there's a reason Obi Wan has become a Jedi Master (remember that at this time, there are possibly 10,000 Jedi) Quote
Legoman Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I think the hailfire droid's wheels are the same wheels as the ones on the mobile devastator. how do you know? Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 (edited) To tell you the truth, legoman, I think a smaller, more compact, more swooshable Hailfire droid is what's coming out. Not to mention more breakable! And stop arguing about which episode is the worst! You get mad when one of us underlings asks one question too many but can't stop yourself from arguing with each of your admin/mod friends! It just isn't right. If there's one group of people who wre annoying DJSaulTNutz, it's those who argue, because nothing annoys a person more than to see his topic get stomped into dust. Clonie Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I doubt the Hailfire has MD wheels... Hailfire Droid wheels have nothing in the middle, but the MD ones do. Quote
Autobob Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Has anybody entertained the possibility of an Ebon Hawk now that there are EU sets being made? Quote
mutley777 Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Has anybody entertained the possibility of an Ebon Hawk now that there are EU sets being made? I would most like to have dash rendar and his outrider as a proper set. *y* Quote
Autobob Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I would most like to have dash rendar and his outrider as a proper set. *y* agreed; that ship is amazing and a bit more cannon than the hawk. Quote
mutley777 Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I wonder if the hailfire droid will be like the one in this picture. I am not sure if this was a fan made diorama or a TLC one. Quote
aayla-secura Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I think its from TLC! I saw it in the Club magazine but for 2 years ago! Men.. one please for you ... please dont show me this pics with so much Ep. 2 Clones in it!! Men TLC please make sets with ep. 2 clones i wanna have !! Damn that pic is sooo cooL! Quote
Order66 Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 me to aayla i want those clones to! I really really hope they make a clone battlepack :-( :-| Quote
WookieeWarrior Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 agreed; that ship is amazing and a bit more cannon than the hawk. I agree. I'm a huge fan of Dash and the Outrider. Obviously they played a huge part in the "Shadows of the Empire" mulitmedia deal, but the Outrider is actually cannon as it was added into Ep IV in 1997 (one of the opening shots of Mos Eisley). And we did see the Outrider as an alternate model of the 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer, so I guess that gives us a little hope. It's also probably one of the best known of the EU vehicles, so that's also in it's favor. LEGO could easily make a great version of this for around $50-60. Quote
Siegfried Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I wonder if the hailfire droid will be like the one in this picture. I am not sure if this was a fan made diorama or a TLC one. Wow! I have never seen that before. If the Hailfire is like that then I am interested. All those clones; all I want it one... Quote

As long as the wheels spin, I'm agreeing with Sinner. It's an easy cheap way to make the wheel. If they screw up the wheels, then the body will hopefully be worthy. And I hope the Spider Droid is bigger, like, say, the one in the pic, because the Wookiee Attack one is tiny. Also George Lucas said the Ebon Hawk isn't real. Andrex Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Wow that is an awesome photo. I think I saw it too, along with other sets with the Jedi arena and others. I would like a set like that actually, and it's good those are to scale. Much better :D. My UCS Hailfire Droid is awesome but is scarily big haha. Quote
xwingyoda Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Cool pic Mutley ;-) However I really doubt that it will be done like that, using all these technic parts to make the wheels: it doesn't look that round + it woud inflate the cost of the set ;-) Its a 19.99$ set, so in order to keep it feasable, it will have big parts IMO However, I think the scaling is right in the ball park !! Can't wait for moree details on all these so promissing sets 8- Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 The outrider is an alternate model for the imperial star destroyer, and i have seen the pic of geonosis before. Don;t think it is TLC, they would design more carefully and with sand red battle droids. The hailfire droid will probably not have those technis wheels, as xyingyoda said, they get squashed too easily and the cost too. It is for the younger people, so it should be strong. Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Hmmm, I can see the Hoth BP having 3 Snowies, 2 Rebels, a Rebel Officer(Bren Derlin!) *wub* , an Atgar, a Golan-arms, a trench, and a LRBR. Quote
xwingyoda Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Hmmm, I can see the Hoth BP having 3 Snowies, 2 Rebels, a Rebel Officer(Bren Derlin!) *wub* , an Atgar, a Golan-arms, a trench, and a LRBR. Unfortunatly you are dreaming :-P Here is what we can speculate: If its a 9.99$ MF pack, there will be 4 MFs and no more (we can hope for 2 rebels and 2 snowies) - and that is just a fair assumption ;-) Now the question is this one: what "bonus" will they add to the set ? Gun Turret ? nan since there is one in the Hoth Base set. Maybe a spedder bike like the one in the AT-AT set ? A radar ? Humm, there was one in the older snowspeeder. Or something totally made up ? So many questions :-P *yoda* Quote
Stauder Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Maybe the little "Bonus" will be a little snow wall? Or maybe some snow piles to add as scenery? That's what would fit well if they eliminate alredy used things (As Yoda mentioned /\ ) Stauder Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 (edited) DJSaulTNutz, does the Tie dropship have solar panels? Is it just like the pictured triple-hull Tie? Should I know this already? Edited July 2, 2007 by trooperdavinfelth Quote
