LDD 4.1 Released

LDD 4.1 released
The wait is finally over for all users of Lego Digital Designer - LDD version 4.1 is here.
A few new features have been added, along with a bunch of new bricks. But the most important news for the fan community is without a doubt the introduction of LDD Extended Mode which is replacing Universe Mode. So if you after upgrading to LDD 4.1 suddenly find yourself missing a lot of bricks, you need to activate Extended Mode.
Speaking of new bricks. For the Pirate fans, LDD finally have the two most important bricks for any shipbuilder, the 64651 and 64645 ship bows. Aahrrr. For Technic fans there is a goodie bag consisting of a cylinder, diff gear housing and 5x7 Beams and 5x11 beams. Also, Hero Factory fans get a load of new bricks.

ME Metal Rails: A second chance for 9 volt?

In what could be seen as questionable timing,
ME Models announced on April the 1st some widely expected news; they will be selling a new system of rails designed to work with all LEGO train systems. What? Monorails...? OK, alright, almost all...
Anyway, it's been covered on Railbricks and on Classic-Town so most should know about this news already, but now that the Dark Day of April has passed I thought it could be a good idea to remind that this news is no joke...
