Saint Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Why do I get the strong urge to hum the Indiana Jones theme ?? Great MOC !! Quote
thomassio Posted August 21, 2015 Author Posted August 21, 2015 (edited) Because you're supposed to. Thanks! Edited August 21, 2015 by thomassio Quote
Exetrius Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Now this is a sleek looking airplane! Great work Quote
Actor Builder Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Wow! I love this! So you modeled it after a certain plane? I'd love some build process shots, to see how it evolved in building. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 That is a lovely build. The string is a very nice touch. Quote
thomassio Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 (edited) Thanks for your compliments! Wow! I love this! So you modeled it after a certain plane? I'd love some build process shots, to see how it evolved in building. It is about time I tell you something about this model. A few years ago a friend of mine made the instructions of an earlier version of the plane. It was actually inspired by this plane created by Mark Stafford / Nabii. I wish someone would ever make a sandblue version of my plane. Edited August 22, 2015 by thomassio Quote
LegoPercyJ Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Great MOC! Love how you did the wheels and propeller! Quote
plastic_ati Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Lovely build, especially the door. Quote
LegoWarBoys Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Lovely build, especially the door. Agreed, that door is so cool as it relates to the scale of the minifig. As though he just ducked out through it. Quote

iammac Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I like all of these, but that last one is magnificent! The realistic airfoil-shaped wings and color scheme work well together. Are there instructions for her? Nice use of tumber windshields too....is there an interior? Quote
Junior Shark Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Oh wow. There's just sooo much that's right with these builds. Quote
BrickCurve Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Excellent creations! Some of my favourite recreations of classic planes I have ever seen. Quote
thomassio Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 Thanks for commenting! Nice use of tumber windshields too....is there an interior? The roof can be opened but there is no interiot yet. I like all of these, but that last one is magnificent! The realistic airfoil-shaped wings and color scheme work well together. Are there instructions for her? The instructions for the first plane were made by a friend of mine years ago. I will have to ask him if he likes to make instructions for the trimotor. Excellent creations! Some of my favourite recreations of classic planes I have ever seen. Thanks! None of the planes are existing. I wanted to make a Ford Trimotor but halfway building I decided I wanted to make a Junkers Ju 52. The result is a mix of both. Quote
Jellyeater Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 What's a lovely plane. I'm almost hearing Indiana Jones music thame. Quote
Athos Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Those are all really good. I'm going to try to make some similar ones and use power functions to make the props spin. I was going to say that I really like the first one, but after looking again, I cannot decide which one is my favorite... Steve Quote
BrickShady Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Great design and color selection, well done! Quote
