WesternOutlaw Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 I wanted to see what I could build using the pieces from KK Gargoyle Bridge (8822) and came up with this MOC, an Armor Wagon and Guard Post: The Armor Wagon: Two Rogue Guards pulling the wagon: The Guard Post, bottom level: And the upper, tower level: OK, not real good, but I don't think the wagon came out too bad. What I learned is that trying to build anything with a few arches and some LURPS is pretty difficult. This is what I dislike most about KK. Quote
Norro Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 Shiny reflective bley... It's just not as easy to dump out a lego set and build something new as it used to be... on the flip side the red 'knight' would make a decent spaceman X-D. God Bless, Nathan Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Nice Moc, Brickster. And a fitting way to pnish the two traitors the set includes! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted July 15, 2007 Author Posted July 15, 2007 I built this when I was moving and only had a few sets at my convenience. In looking at it now, I don't think it's that good at all - but thanks for the comment. Quote
El Bucanero Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Very nice MOC Mr Brickster. Looks like it would make a nice KK2 set. It's much better than LEGO ever made for KK2.. Especially the tower feels set-like. Nice one Mr B! Mr Tiber Quote
ZeekyBoogeyDoog Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Puurdy wagon. For some reason I find the pulling of the wagon by the two knights pretty amusing...must be that goofy viking face :-) The tower's not too bad considering the serious limitations on parts. Quote
zouave Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 In looking at it now, I don't think it's that good at all What are you talking about? This looks great. The tower looks just fine. And the wagon is a fine element. Quote
dillthepill Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Great MOC, I used to have that set myself, but my sister destroyed it. <_< Quote
Hinckley Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Great job The Brickster. This is the first castle MOC I've seen from you and I love that you did an alternative set. We don't get those from LEGO hardly ever anymore and this alternative is actually better than the real thing if you ask me. You have a great style I really enjoy. One of my favorite parts is the minifig grunts pulling the cart. :-D :-D minifig suffering on! Quote
Atlack Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Great MOC, I used to have that set myself, but my sister destroyed it. <_< I know what that feels like! :-D Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I like it also, good for a small set. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted July 17, 2007 Author Posted July 17, 2007 Thanks everyone. Appreciate the feedback. I would not consider this a really good example of my castle theme MOCing. I was just trying to build an alternate from the single set. All my Lego was instorage, and I had purchased this set during a temporary move. To tell you the truth, I think the wagon is pretty bad. Something like this is a lot better (I think), and more a long the classic castle look: Classic Castle Armory Great job The Brickster. This is the first castle MOC I've seen from you and I love that you did an alternative set. We don't get those from LEGO hardly ever anymore and this alternative is actually better than the real thing if you ask me. You have a great style I really enjoy. Thanks H. I'm not just a fan of the WW theme. Classic Castle and City were some of my first loved themes when I was a kid (some sets of which I still have). I'm also a big Adventurers fan, Ninja, Train, and SW. I've got a pretty heavy collection of all of these themes as well as Batman. Check this thread out for some more MOCs if you care to see them: TheBrickster's Index I've done some Adventurers, Batman, and a few more MOCs. I just enjoy writing about Ghost Town as it was a prelude to a Murder Mystery I planned to share a few years ago. I enjoy adding stories to sets/MOCs, esp. those of a mystery or horror element. Quote
