This brick build sail looks rather good, but I prefer paper (or something similar).

I like the design quit a bit! I honestly didn't realize they were brick-built when my attention was focused on the scenery. The SNOTed ship looks very good too.

Mr. Bonaparte, what is your opinion of this creation? Coincidently it was also entered in the "CCC".

Wow, THAT I haven't seen before!

Verrrrry nice ship. The crew looks so good.

I haven't seen much Lego galleys yet, these guys look like Japanese pirates.

And the sails.... maybe I need to change my opinion about brick-build sails.

In this case it will be hard to make betters sails with paper.

Like oo7 already mentioned, I was referring to the link that Berry posted here.

Maybe this one deserves a separate thread since they look like Japanse pirates to me.

Or maybe not, because this thread is about Brick-built sails...

They could be... But the other thread is in a different forum and I want to keep a piratical version of this topic .

So what we need to make that happen is to find examples of "brick-built sails" used in Pirate ship MOCs. So does anybody have or know of any?

Hmm, they seem to be non-existent. This is all I could get brickshelf to spit out: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2000063
