Revolword's War was now over but all was not well. Instead of a glorious victory celebration, there were the desperate looks of those who sought for their missing relative, cries of agony from the wounded, and tears of mourning from those who were burying their loved ones. The deep wounds of the war would take long to completely heal. Everywhere he looked, Masa saw the destruction and the sorrows the war had caused. A state of disillusionment settled over him and he retreated to the outskirts of the desert to live the simple life of a goat herder. But fate had different plans for him.

One day as he watched over his goats in the shade of his tent entrance, a familiar figure emerged from behind a sand dune. It was Yesil the Grelf.

The two bowed in the customary Kaliphlin greeting and Masa invited the grelf to a seat and a goblet of water inside the shade of the tent.

"What brings you way out here?" Masa asked the grelf.

"The question is, what way out here, do you?" the grelf responded.

"The war is over and Historica no longer needs me so I am enjoying the peace and tranquility of this simple life," Masa told him.

"But wrong are you! Needs you, Historica does still!" the grelf replied.

"If so, please do tell me now," Masa said with a shrug.

"Help Dugal Maclean you must."

"But Dugal is dead."

"That is why help him you must."

"So I am supposed to help a dead guy?" Masa laughed.

"Bring him back from the dead, you must!"

The sip of water Masa had just begun to swallow spewed from his lips. "You have been in the sun too long, my dear Yesil. Come take a rest and later we will talk when your senses have returned."

"My sanity, still intact it is." the grelf assured Masa. "Back down sit you and of knowledge long forgotten, listen. Death is but a sleep so deep. But of essence time is. For should the soul of the dead this life forget, there can be awakening no more. Call on the heroes of the guilds, four, must you. To find the ingredients for the potion of the Kiss of Life, help must they, for much time do you have not."

Raising the Dead – Collecting the Pieces (Community story build) Chapter 1 by Masa of Kaliphlin, on Flickr

So it was that Masa sent letters out to all the heroes of the four guilds requesting their help to find the ingredients of the potion Kiss of Life.

"Greetings Heroes and Heroines of the four Guilds,

I am requesting help of you in a quest to bring Dugal Maclean back to us. I have been informed that a potion called The Kiss of Life can bring him back from death but the ingredients are spread across all of Historica and our time is limited. Should you wish to help me in this endeavor, please travel to Cedrica by 17th of August and I will inform you further of the details.

Signed

Masa of Kaliphlin"

This is going to be a community story build where the participants are tasked with building a MOC, any size of your choosing depicting the finding or gathering of one of the ingredients necessary for the potion. If you wish to participate, please post a pic of your participating hero in this thread by the 17th of August. I plan to then post a second MOC depicting the gathered heroes as they discuss the ingredients needed for the potion. The ingredients then will be finalized and the participants will be free to build their MOC depicting their hero braving the wildernesses of their homeland in search of one of the ingredients.

Wow! Very nice MOC and great idea! The figs are cool too! Love the goats, wish I had some.

Sir Infernum will accept the call and travel to Cedrica!

I'm sure you can use the knowledge of herbs of Lasvor Nirhad on this quest.

Oh man, I'm too old for such a long journey, especially through the desert! Thank for the gods, this IS the last dune, I can see the flag on the tent.

The changes look fine, I know the some parts can be hard to come by. :classic:

Thankfully, my duties for overseeing the building of Vanguard are limited and the other six Councilmen will be fine with me leaving to help bring a dead man back to life.

On a side note, I forgot to mention my last name which is Lanthorn.

I await my ingredient assignment.

Perfect! Sir Gideon is looking for new adventures after finishing the repairs to the Petraean city walls.

While adventuring, he usually only wears light armor (the arms are supposed to be dark red, its just the bad colors of this shot making them look reddish brown):

He could however just as well be depicted in full armor if needed, or like this with the elven hair above.

I've already recreated Lasvor Nirhad and since he met Masa in the desert, hes going to go on a little quest with him before they meet the others in Cedrica. Oh btw, I thought your LDD render of the tent and dunes was totally cool!

I actually already had Sir Gideon already made up as he is a combination of my favorite minifig parts. Quite possibly my favorite member character. As he is a half elf, I think he might have a lot in common with Masa (actually more so with Masa's kids) as Masa is destined to marry an elven queen.

Good to see you made my character correctly! Things like this are the reason I made him with common parts.

Funny thing is when I went to find the hair for your character it was already on the head you chose so your character was definately the easiest to recreate since I didn't even have to switch any arms out either.

lord Velmyre will join the cause,

Do you want me to add a cape or hair or just leave him like that? Either way is fine just making sure you won't want me to make any changes after I photograph.

On a side note, I forgot to mention my last name which is Lanthorn.

Thanks! I will update the name.

A blue cape would be nice but if you can't get one it's totally fine, I actually have on but forgot to put it in the picture. Edited by Bkrosell

Also if any of you aren't my contact on flickr, let me know your flickr name so that I can tag your character when I upload. Also, Ska has two more story arcs in the works one of which will be more battle oriented which he plans to start next friday I believe.

I have a blue cape from spongebob and a dark blue cape from batman.

Tarill, a hero of Hradcanny:

What torso does he have? Can't quite make it out.... Is it the new dragon faction torso?

And don't forget to make sure your settings allow you to be tagged (I think that's default but I'm not sure).

I'm pretty sure I'll be doing this, just got to figure out who to use...
