I was talking to my friend Max and he bring up the DC and Marvel Ultrabuild of what it be great to see in a wave 2 of those Ultrabuild.

Also he created in LDD Ultrabuild idea appearance concept for Spider-Man, War Machine and Wolverine.

So what DC and/or Marvel character you would like to see as a Ultrabuild set.

For me, I would like to see in marvel: Deadpool, Venom, Spider-man and Agent Venom. For DC: Flash, Aquaman and Deathstroke.

I'd like to see none, because DC/Marvel Ultrabuilds were just weird and ugly.

It could have been worse if they had Bionicle Build. And I think at least for some not seen painted parts they are worth it.

I was about to say we might never get SH Ultrabuilds again, but then I remembered one of the, if not the, main reason we got them in 2012 was, you guessed it, the Avengers movie. And since Age of Ultron comes out next year... I can't see Lego missing out on something this huge and hyped up.

They might even skip the DC Ultrabuilds (just checked, the 2015 DC movies seem nowhere as bg as AoU) and make a 100% Marvel wave. Unless they're forced by contract to make as much DC sets as Marvel ones? I don't know.

It's been 3 years so updated versions of the 2012 Marvel Ultrabuilds are perfectly feasible: Batman appears in tons of System sets and Heroes/Toa get new sets every year, so there you have it. Hulk (maybe in proper bright green this time, courtesy of Lewa), C. America, Iron Man, plus Thor, one of the new heroes (Quicksilver?) and Ultron: that's 6, like the 2012 Ultrabuilds.

agreed. These just looked bad in my opinion.

I liked these sets, even though they weren't perfect. Batman and Iron Man were probably my favorites: Batman because he lacked a lot of superfluous mechanical details, and Iron Man because he indulged in character-appropriate mechanical details.

Characters I would have loved to see mostly include some of the really well-known heroes who were left out of the original wave: Superman, Wonder Woman, Wolverine, and Spider-Man. Maybe also some additional villains like Doctor Octopus (who would be quite well-suited to the building system, in my opinion) and Lex Luthor (naturally, in a battlesuit like he has sometimes worn in the comics, rather than a boring business suit).

Wait wouldn't War Machine basically be a buffer Iron Man set? I mean, the Ultrabuild Iron Man already got the shoulder cannon.

Well I made him as Iron Man repaint because to me it seems that's how he'd likely be.

It may well be that LEGO cant make the ultrabuilds anymore due to complaints from the companies that make DC and Marvel action figures, hence why they only ever made one wave.

Or it might be that they didn't sell well enough to justify another wave.

I said this earlier in the year, but I think the problem with the DC/Marvel figures was that we only got one wave. Just look at how much Legends of Chima changed in it's second wave. While yes, it still needs work, the first time around is always a mess. Bionicle and hero factory have time to expand and improve upon designs, but when all we have is one wave of Superheroes, there isn't a whole lot of room to fix their mistakes. With more figures, I definitely think Lego could step up their game design wise, and for us MOCists it would continue to be a source of some very interesting color selections.

It's entirely unlikely that we will get another wave. There were only six in 2012 (three Marvel and three DC), and they must not have sold well enough to warrant a second wave. I highly doubt they would wait three or more years to release another batch, as much as I would love that.

But since you asked: Superman and Flash for DC, and Thor and Ultron for Marvel would be great!

Honestly, the only ultrabuild I would probably buy is a Iron Man Hulkbuster ultrabuild. I think that'd warrant something of that caliber.

Dr Strange, Thor, Lady Sif, Deadpool, Scarlet Witch, someone else with variety. The one's I listed could bring in new pieces. I would not be offended by an ultrabuild character with hair. It would provide a needed piece for MoC's other than Galidor's Allegra head which is as rare as it is unattractive when combined with most Constraction pieces. Sif and Thor could get us new styles of weapons and armor (maybe a shield that is a shield and not 2 swords stuck together?), Dr Strange could have his cape, Deadpool with any luck will not be a copout and would have new katana pieces and red bones. Im having trouble finding relevant female superheroes to the modern Marvel media to break some more diversity in. She-Hulk, Storm and Wasp?

I don't think it's a good idea, since Lego is pretty bad at designing female figures :P

Im surprised when they were making DC Ultrabuilds that Wonderwoman wasn't tossed around as an idea. Female characters are horribly underrepresented in Constraction, I think they can pull it off if they really tried.
