Why does this remind me of a bad pirate movie from the 50's? "Abandon ship!" We all knew this was bound to happen sooner or later. Brickshelf has been somewhat unreliable the past year and now it's seems to be down for good. The lock on uploads the past week or so, was the final punctuation for a site that deserves to be remember for much more than it ended up with. RIP - and thanks for hosting all our pics for so long. Now off to find new picture hosts people - we need those MOCs and Reviews updated ASAP
-
I doubt it. The upload feature has been gone for quite a while now. I think using gmail's picasa might be a solution. You get a fair amount of space and all you need is to register an email account. And it works wonders with Picasa3

Contrast.... the word I was looking for. I'll change them and then make a comparison picture for evaluation. And these are all the pics so far:

It seems that Brickshelf has gone down once more. If it doesn't get back online soon we've got some work to do with the Indexes All members are adviced to find a new picture host and update their reviews and MOCs here. When January comes we'll check the current reviews and MOCs and update the indexes. Damn I hate this

Yeah I think so, which is why I consider adding those round bricks in black.

Mkay, this little project of mine has been 'dead' for a long time. But as I attended the SweBrick event I saw a pretty neat wall design by "robban" and it reignited me on doing this modular castle of mine. I've destroyed all previous elements and now I've restarted with a different approach "Size matters!" I've got a few pending BL orders, so you'll have to live with these pics for now. I am designing 2 walls and a gate for now. Later the towers will follow (hopefully). Without further ado I present "My Yellow Modular Castle Version 3.0" The surface will be tiled. I am not fond of the break from yellow to black and any ideas are more than welcome. Also I am considering adding black 1x1 round bricks instead of the yellow ones. Plus I might add a 1x2 black brick here and there to distort the over yellowness of it.

Whew! I am (once more) sorting my LEGO and this is the system that I intend to use. Primarily sort by colour (black, blue, red, yellow, green, brown/orange, tan/purple, trans and type; technic parts, wheels). Secondarily sort each colour by plates - bricks - other. Once I'm done, I'll post some pics. So many elements yet to be sorted

Thanks Etzel. I've copied your post into it's own topic. Your help is greatly appreciated. LINK

The prices are estimates made from amazon.com and other sites. Right now we only have USD prices and the estimates varies. The Freeco is estimated from 24.99 - 34.99 USD (or something like that). I am fairly sure the price will be around 25 USD though, but one can never be sure with the financial situation and all.

As of right now there is no Wild West Review Index like the Castle, Ninja & Viking Index.
-
I've only got one Venator and it's still MISB. One day Mutley you should layout your entire collection and do some pics. Might be hard since it looks like you need a soccer stadium to display them all.

I've changed the title to be a WIP (Work In Progress) and I suggest you take a look at the different dioramas in the Star Wars Forum MOC Index for inspiration. With work and effort this could turn out a good MOC. Personally I've only posted one MOC ever and it was a train station - I'd never ever post it if I'd build it today. MOC'ing is about getting better, I'll agree to that. I've discareded several handfulls of MOC's over the past years - none of them have made it even close to me posting them here. One day I'll post a MOC, but not until I am satisfied and sure that it'll be appreciated by other fans. Am I making any sense here?
-
My issue with this is that it's not what I would call a diorama or a MOC. It looks more like a display of figs that have been put on a few baseplates. And stating that you've done something out of boredom isn't what we're looking for here. The least one could do before posting something is to put a little work into it. Some critisim for this one: Take it apart and start over. What is it you want to build? A bridge? A combat scene? Fine, then start with the scene and not the figs. This is hardly the work of an AFOL, is it?
-
Wow, you put some baseplates together because you were bored? What a way to introduce this If you did this "BECAUSE YOU WERE BORED", then why'd you even share it with us? Please put a little effort in it before you post.
-
Thanks for clearing that one up for me.
-
Sadly yes it is: Click here to discuss and comment on the end of 10 years of BIONICLE

They? Whois they? AFOLs? Well since you signed up on this site, then you must be one too. Or perhaps you're not old enough to be around? Just thought I'd "deeplink" the statement linked earlier:
-
Great maxifig features. Truly amazing work you've done there. This needs frontpaging

Great diorama Baronsat. I love that X-Wing
