Gratulations. Good luck and have fun with it. -
Looks like the 'big' teams are in for a beating McLaren have openly said that they've got problems with getting enough speed, Ferrari have stated that they've got problems as well. Meanwhile Williams, Brawn and Toyota are ripping the asphalt with their rear diffusers working perfectly. I can't wait for the last practice and qualify session tomorrow. Then we'll see if McLaren and Ferrari tried to play a hoax on everyone. Eventhough speculation is that Ron Dennis spend everything on winning last season, since he'd already decided that he was leaving and thus the team has had a hard time developing the new racer in no time. I am confident in Renault (fingers crossed), eventhoug Picquet still looks a little rook'ish in his driving Good luck to all teams and drivers - Australia usually is a hard GP, being the first of the season and everyone wants to win. Furthermore the KERS, new aerodynamic rules and rear diffusers might be sending a lot of cars prematurely in the pit

I'll be updating the Contest Index shortly and hand out comments on all MOCs posted so far. My comments are solely based on wether or not the MOC lives up to the 'rules' and 'standards' of this contest. Generally I think everyone has done a great job with the entries. Good luck and remember to always have fun playing/building with LEGO

Not the lamest, but still.... Why post something like this? If you intend on doing a review, then do it. Posting something like this will not ensure that your review will be the 2nd in the Review Index. Do the pics, then post a review. If you need to make a WIP on a review, then I suggest joining the Reviewers Academy and work on it there until it's ready for public posting. On the other hand, if the dropship is no closer to you than the mail, then you've made a grave mistake.

Now if you were to actually read the topic, then you'd see that this kind of comment has been asked not to be posted. This is not a "do you like or don't you like"-topic, it's a discussion on wether or not the theme might be coming to an end. Flaming and whining about the theme is pathetic at best, so refrain from such rants and "Stay on Target!".

Now there's less than a week to go before it's too late. The Star Wars Vehicle Contest Build a land-based vehicle that TLG has never produced. It can be from anywhere in the Star Wars Universe or your own imagination, but be sure it looks like it belongs in Star Wars There's 3 different categories, depending on the size of the MOC. A: Small size vehicles Design a vehicle with a 200 piece limit. You must include a background story relating it to the Star Wars universe. Max minifig count is 5. B: Medium size vehicles Design a vehicle with a 201 to 400 piece limit. You must include a background story relating it to the Star Wars universe. Max minifig count is 10. C: Large size vehicles Design a vehicle with at least 401 pieces. You must include a background story relating it to the Star Wars universe. Max minifig count is 25. General rules: Entries have to be Star Wars related. No copying or modding existing models. Entries have to be new - no entry for old MOCs. Entries must have a background story. 5 pics in entry (front, top, rear, left-side and right-side ) Entries should have a link to picture folder (non-resized pics, close-ups and stuff like that for the rest of us to enjoy) Max picture size for deeplinked pictures is 600x800 pixels No webcam or phonepictures - The pictures must be undisturbed - make a studio, anything but a table with a cat in the background Only one entry per category per member. Feel free to participate in all 3 categories Brick-built minifigs like for example buzz-droids count as 1 minifig. Minifigs and brick-built minifigs don't count as pieces. Staff cannot enter this contest. Digital entries are not allowed No clone brands only LEGO is allowed. - with the exception of custom made minifigs, helmets and weaponry. This contest has NO scale - build your MOC as you like, be that mid-scale, micro-scale, minifig-scale, UCS or any-scale Land-based includes Walkers, Animals (like Rancor and Banthas), Ships, Hovercrafts like the landspeeder and of course wheel or belt driven vehicles like tanks and trucks When the build time is up, no more entries will be allowed and a vote topic for each category will be made. Post your entries in the 'Watto's Junkyard' sub-forum, giving each each entry it's own topic. The subtitle of the topic must state wether this is a small, medium or large entry. Time to build: Close to a month, the contest will end on: Thursday the 2nd of April 2009 21:00 CET Make sure your background story fits the MOC and make sure the MOC fits the background story. No need to include stormtroopers if it's a Rebel walker. All entries posted until the end date of the contest are considered Works In Progress. All entries not living up to the rules on the end date are disqualified All entries will be indexed - this does not mean they are qualified or 'good' enough All entries will be commented around 1 week before the end date by me, giving guidelines on how to qualify for the vote

AT-PT (All Terrain Personal Transport) Walker
KimT replied to calebexo01's topic in Watto's Junkyard
You'll have to "clean up" the first post before the end date. But there's no rush. So far it's good to have comparison pictures of what you've done. -
Sure you can. Just push the "Edit" button in your first post.
-
Agreed. Stop yakkin away about nothing. This is a news topic and is meant for news only. Bitchsyfwkiyhfg about prices and availability belongs somewhere else. Either that or you're going to "Take a Break"
-
Now would be a good time to keep this topic on track. Please stop pointing fingers, telling other members to "can it". Let's stick to discussing if you think Spongebob has come to an end. And stay nice, dammit Personally I have no clue as to if they'll end the theme now or not. I don't care much for SpongeBob, I've got 3 or 4 of the sets, but mostly just for the parts.
-
Great work on the final version. Looks really awesome now
-
Meh! This was cool when it was released, but compared to the design standards of today, it's pretty bad I'll give it an average rating just because it's a classic. Thanks for reviewing and poll has just been added

REVIEW: 8261 Rally Truck
KimT replied to Front's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The trailer looks better than the truck Nice work Front Taking apart Bionicle to build Technic MOCs sounds like a great plan to me... But then again, I am no Bionicle fan.... in fact I am not even sure I am a Technic fan -
Great review def This is definately the best Slave1 they've ever done. Now I feel like getting into the attic, find mine and build it again
-
Wow. That's great news.
-
Got me two of those back then. One was on sale
-
Hmmm... looks like a scorpion with no legs to me Perhaps adding scorpion legs would look great?
-
Welcome to Eurobricks and thanks for contributing with those fine reviews Poll added.
-
Poll added. Thanks for another review. I guess I'll have to update the review index one of these days
-
Poll added. Thanks for reviewing this set for us
-
Perhaps we should keep track of those "fake" sets? If you find any, then post them in this topic for further reference.

Technic Cherry Picker
KimT replied to CloneCommanderDelta7's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow , you must really be happy about this since it's the 2nd time you post it. Same same -
Did that guy just blend an iPhone with battery? Isn't that enviromentally unsmart? Great MOC
-
I've already talked this over with Rook before he started working on the MOC and I voted that this counts as a vehicle. It's more of a future hovercraft version of a cab than an aircraft. Entry is accepted
