  1. For the last few years, 10179 has been a set to build. I think the many AFOLs who paid 'dearly' for this one to build are the people who will be getting hit hard. Hopefully, it won't be another 10188 - 75159 remake debacle.
  2. Separate by color. Place 2-4 large bins. Then stack all exact bricks together (e.g. Connect all 2x4 light grey bricks together, all 1x6 plates in a 1 stud staggered approach). This all will help you find elements faster. I also found using the building directions on my laptop and iPad easier than the actual printed version.

  4. i found these. https://www.yahoo.co...6479935332.html http://www.starwars....ered-by-verizon note: updated my post below for the youtube link.
  5. looks great. i would go with Larry the Barista's hair since it resembles the look of charlie cox. lets hope lego comes out with a daredevil minifig :)
  6. hi david, lego hadn't done a shed of this quality although (as others posted, many MOCs exist. i was lucky to buy one off ebay 5 months ago for $200 (used but still in the box with the instructions) the "Yellow Minifig, Utensil Hand Truck" can cost up to $20. the 2 "Light Gray Door 1 x 4 x 5 Right with Trans-Black Glass" will cost over $20 each. bricklinking (used elements) the rest of the set w/o instructions will run about $150 before postage. might be good to wait for a good deal on bricklink or ebay since you will porb need to use many sellers.
  7. looks good. i ordered 1 of these custom stickers myself (ebay) and plan to do something similar either using the UCS R2 or 10179 MF as the template for my plaque.
  8. Love this pic. It really gives your MOC scale since 10179 is included. How did you add the lights to 10179?
  9. Great review.
  10. Sound advice for the new member. Depending on location, 20% is a great starting point for discounts. Everyone now and again, retailers will offer BOGOs to get the overall discount into the 30%s and into the 40%s if the sets are already reduced prior to the BOGO. Exclusives (at least in the US) is seldom discounted anymore so using Amazon points, eBay bucks, shop@home points etc... is one way to create your own discount. Selling Lego after EOL can be risky . You have refreshes to worry about, missing elements, condition, the manual, picking the right sets, etc... However, I found selling sets my son and I don't want anymore is a wonderful way to roll the profits into "dream sets" like 10196,10181, etc... I always advise folks to buy what you want to build and think about the selling as an afterthought.
  11. Thank you. No rush as I'm alos out of town and know it's a lot of work.
  12. My first Eurobricks post. ZCerberus, this comparison / review is awesome! Very impressive. Quality content and pictures. On top of that, you built custom / MOC stands for the non-UCS models. Great work! Your review also reiterated my thoughts about 8097. The UCS version made me appreciate it even more. Getting back to the stands, I would like to put my son's 8087 on that stand. Can you share the elements used?
