  1. Nice work with the stained glass windows! The overall building being fully round and domed shaped is impressive too, nice use of the hammer pieces throughout!
  2. I’ve been following along with these on Flickr and I have to say how awesome the micro waterfall scene is! The splat and energy effect pieces are great, and like Kai mentioned the cupcake/ muffin piece is perfect for micro scale trees!
  3. Thanks guys! I’m glad you liked the transparent fireball effect!
  4. Great microscale build! I really like the stairway and the little archways!
  5. The chaotic scroll shelf looks great! Nice work on the furniture as well!
  6. Lord Vladek's army marches forth with deadly weapons of war from the lost kingdom of Ankoria! Carrying on the theme of reimagining Knight's Kingdom 2 sets, this MOC is based off of set 8873 from 2005 and some of the concept art / trading card artwork from that theme by Mike Rayhawk ( I highly recommend reading / looking through there if you are interested in the artwork or behind the scenes stories from KK2 and other Lego themes). This is also an entry for the Summer Joust 12x12 vignette category, and is one of my first successful attempts at editing a photo of my MOCs and having it actually turn out good. Comments and feedback always welcome, hope you enjoy!
  7. Excellent work on the figs! I also really like the side builds, in particular the candelabra using the bionicle torso and snake flame looks awesome!
  8. Thanks for the in-depth response Grover! The roof is actually all DBG, but the lighting in the picture makes it look lighter. Thanks John! Yea, the reference garden was a bit too wild and huge Thanks!! As you and jtooker and grover pointed out the grey is pretty abnormal. From my understanding on the real cottage it is a thatched roof, where its so old and weathered it gets all grey and matted down. I was initially going to make it look closer to the reference with a less textured roof, but it looked super boring so I scrapped it. Here's another example of a grey thatched roof I looked at when I was researching it. Thank you! I like how the grey looks in the end too, it ended up giving the whole thing a black / white / grey color scheme that I think looks cool contrasting with all the colorful flowers and vegetation.
  9. In the meadows and forests of Avalonia live many folk who lead humble and peaceful lives. In this case, a young woman lives alone with her trusty cat in this cozy cottage. Thanks for viewing! I built this as part of a collab with my lug for an English Cottage Garden, and I built the central cottage. I'm not entirely happy with the plain baseplate as the base, but that is the style we went with to integrate the parts together. It also has an interior built by my friend, but it is more modern style so I decided not to include it here. Comments and feedback always welcome
  10. Great work on the vibrant colors and detailed buildings! The blue and white house is my favorite, it looks so good! I also enjoyed the detailed minifigs with their backstories, but I feel like the overall build felt very crowded with them all there ( which I get you were trying to show it as a bustling city). I liked looking at the photo without figs because there was a lot more details to see. I also liked how vibrant the colors are in the first picture, but the direct light made some harsh shadows that made it hard to see in the doorways and under the archway. Overall excellent Varlyrian build!!
  11. There's loads of details to love in this build! The shaping and texturing of the roof is top notch, the use of the tree and flower costumes works really well, and the hanging sign is a great touch!
  12. Excellent work on the statue! I also liked some of the smaller details like the cleverly constructed ladder and the spills on the floor being cleaned up!
  13. Really nice work with the rockwork and well textured / angled wall! The colors are also great, I love the bright fall yellows and cool blue of the water.
  14. Suitably gothic and creepy! I especially like how the cage is constructed.
  15. Nice work on the tree, the bottom section especially looks very organic with the large wedge piece and the vines.
