  1. I'm probably stupid, but I can't figure out what the latter half of that sentence means.Regardless, cool contest. Gonna be fun seeing all the entries.
  2. You can upload lxfs to Brickshelf then link from there.
  3. Could you post the lxf file? There's a million reasons why stuff can end up misaligned, and it's gonna be pretty hard to guess right without seeing it.
  4. Yup, that was the problem. Using the 3.4.8 installer worked just fine. Thanks for the help.
  5. I deleted the folder, but still get the same error. Is there anything else that would have gotten put on the main drive? I'm using Windows 7 if that helps any. I did figure out why it's getting called an older version though. Turns out the download from lego, com is for version 3.4.6 while the latest is actually 3.4.8.
  6. My secondary HDD with LDD installed on it recently died. I got a new drive, but when I go to install LDD I get an error with "You cannot update LEGO Digital Designer with an older version." I'm obviously not trying to update anything since LDD isn't installed in the first place, and even if it was it'd be the same version as the one I'm trying to use now. Anyone know how to get around this?
  7. Can anyone explain why the window behind the windscreen gets so heavily distorted? It would make sense for the sections behind the rounded corners to be like that, but I can't figure any reason the whole thing is. File is here if it helps.
  8. Checking "Don't bevel transparent parts" in the Model tab can help. They're typically what takes the longest to render.
  9. Alright, I'll try to get it close to that. Also, I forgot to ask, what size does it need to be? I'd like not to render it larger than I need to so it doesn't take forever.
  10. I'll do it if no one else is going to. Is there a certain angle you'd prefer?
  11. Let virtualrepublic do it. He probably won't use POV-Ray.

  13. You could try using the higher of the two settings but with the radiosity quality turned down. There's a list of the radiosity settings near the bottom of this page if you wanna know what does what.
