  1. I don’t, unfortunately, but from pictures it also looks like it won’t match any of the pieces
  2. I put the three next to each other on a variety of plates: https://imgur.com/a/EMJ5oHq The left column is the new trans light blue, the middle column is my old trans light blue, and the right column is trans blue. The difference is most noticeable on the white plate, but even on the darker plates the two left columns catch the light differently and you can tell they’re different shades. I’m sure the right mix of the two trans light blue would make a decent effect for water though? Edit: the biggest issue is that the left column is a little too clear while the other two columns blur the underlying plate more, giving it a little more depth for water.
  3. Interesting! And thanks for sending! This is the first I’ve found of the same color issue online despite searching the last couple days. LEGO is very kindly sending replacement parts, so hopefully they match one of the colors I have? I’m using it for a MOC with lots of water. LEGO was asking if I was accidentally comparing transparent light blue to transparent blue. If anyone else is curious, here’s a comparison of all 3 colors: https://imgur.com/a/A3c7ubj Top: new trans light blue received this week Middle: trans light blue already in my collection Bottom: trans blue already in my collection
  4. So strange! It’s definitely not the satin trans light blue. It’s almost a clear light turquoise. I’ve never seen a piece this color before, and it’s definitely off from other trans light blue pieces. And it’s 100% legit LEGO. Just wish their email reply had some more info on what happened.
  5. Got a Pick a Brick situation that has me stumped. I recently received an order that included 300 "transparent light blue" 1x2 tiles. But the color is noticeably different than the "transparent light blue" tiles I've received in past PAB orders or LEGO sets. Image: https://imgur.com/a/XePJ274 The top is “transparent light blue” ID: 6251295/35386 that I just ordered. The bottom is “transparent light blue” from previous orders/sets. Never had such a noticeable difference in color before? It almost looks like what I received is a satin trans light blue but without the satin finish/no sparkles? On the PAB site there's element ID: 6251295 (which I ordered) and Element ID: 6514227 (opalescent, which I didn't order) and then element ID: 6514224 (another trans light blue?). I emailed LEGO about it and all they said was they would send replacement parts, no clarification on what happened. Anyone know what’s up?
  6. My Deku Tree preorder has been charged and officially is "in the warehouse." I haven't preordered a set in a while, so not sure how long it'll take to ship, especially with the holiday on Monday in the US. But fingers crossed it gets here quickly. So excited! That does help! I peeked at some reviews to understand that more, and I think my best bet will be to just build the Breath of the Wild version and see what's left over. Then I can see how much of the Ocarina of Time tree I can build with my own collection of pieces and bricklink the rest? Hopefully there aren't too many recolored pieces that are only in this set.
  7. Seen quite a few reviews of the Legend of Zelda set up on YouTube. So excited. I’ve been waiting decades for official LEGO Zelda, so price wasn’t a deterrent. Since I’ve got it preordered, so I’m trying to avoid spoilers/not watching full reviews. Has anyone seen a breakdown of what the recommended method will be to get the necessary pieces to build both versions of the Deku Tree? Are there a lot of new colors that won’t be easy to source from Bricklink, etc? If the most cost effective way to build both is to buy 2 sets, that’ll be a bummer.
  8. Based on that image of the back of the set, I’m 99% sure there’s a hinge in the set. The top of the taller roof is at a different angle, and you can just make out the bump in one of the plate hinges. It looks like the upstairs where the beds are is exposed because that half of the thatched roof was removed, so it must be loose/fits into those panel pieces. But it’s an odd place to hinge the set, unless it’s just to get better access for playing?
  9. That does make more sense as far as speculation goes! :) I hadn't seen any of the Icons information.
  10. Just offering some wild speculation for fun based on the rumors/teases being that the film and the codename “Bright” line of sets both arrive in October. I didn’t mean to imply that “entire film genres” are gender-coded, just that, in my marketing experience working in the film industry, music-based films do tend to be more female-centered. Mostly that was just me squinting/speculating to see if there’s a way this movie news from today fit the rumored sets. Apologies.
  11. All we have is a teaser poster so far, but TandNBricks posted on Instagram that this movie is “more than a movie.” I imagine because it’s Pharrell Williams it’ll be less of a biopic in the traditional sense and more of a musical/concert film. And from a marketing perspective, that film genre is definitely more female-centered. Since it’s an official collaboration with LEGO, I think it would be more odd if there weren’t sets.
  12. Sounds like Buffalo’s Brickheadz will be 2 characters going off that piece count. Apparently Pharrell Williams announced a LEGO movie “based on his life” coming out October 11th. Could that be the theme of the sets codenamed “Bright”? Were they also rumored for October?
  13. What about Gilmore Girls? Ideas sets have hit 10,000 a few times now. The full show isn’t technically Netflix, but it’s heavily associated with it. And Netflix made the final season. I just imagine LEGO would do an Icons set instead.
  14. I hope the introduction of Nintendo minifigures this year means that we could eventually get a collectible minifigure series. That seems like the best way to get obscure characters that couldn’t justify the sales for a whole set. But I agree that Splatoon seems like the most likely candidate for LEGO to tackle next. Probably with some gimmick to replicate covering the set in ink.
  15. I agree, especially since Netflix has always been pretty slow to capitalize on merchandise for their shows until they know they have a hit. Especially toys, etc. for more family/kid-oriented shows. If 2024 brings us LEGO Zelda and Last Airbender, it’ll be one of the best years ever for me.
