Oddly no. I keep showing them how it is done every day, but they still make me do the work. :-/

Jun chi's passage alternate Moc
Siegfried replied to hollisbrick's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
:-D Cool idea! *sweet* I've been considering turning mine into a little chinatown store... X-D -
What are you doing in here when you haven't replied to my PM or my last MOC? X-D I'll try to make a comment on the Exo-Force contest entries in a few hours. I'm actually in the middle of weight training. :-$
-
Well that certainly wasn't what I expected! :-D I hope your sub didn't get treated the same way....

How long will the UCS Falcon be up for sale?
Siegfried replied to MiniGreavy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
In addition to that, I would like to point out that in Australia, the UK and Germany (and probably more) the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer is now at the Call to check product availability stage. At this stage I would like to say "I told you so." X-D -
Ahhh, but I thought the poll on that was here so I assumed that it was just based on the merits of the sets. Please do. :-D I have never heard of that before; I even asked my wife! X-D Ahh well, more proof that I'm out of touch! :-$

Welcome to Eurobricks! EB could use some more colour. X-D

Welcome to Eurobricks! *sweet* Nice collection too! *wub*

They have changed in the past, but you are obviously right that this is as good as we will get for a while. I hope that Lego read this discussion and change the prices! But I do think that enough has been said in this topic to highlight the probably error.

hey there i have something to ask.....
Siegfried replied to heartbreakkid's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well... welcome to Eurobricks! *sweet* However there is no need to ask if people are interested. Please just post your pictures and maybe introduce your self here. ;-) -
Probably not. $150-$180 AUD would make it reasonable for me. I am trying to limit my full price set purchases this year and focus on sale sets. For example I wanted the Hailfire droid set but decided that $40 AUD was too much for it.
-
Don't forget the price for the AT-AT; $250 AUD. Insane. But I hope you're right. Would you buy it for $200? (Did you buy the AT-AT?)
-
Well that was pretty random! :-D Thanks for including "me". I love how you have shot it thoughout the house. It makes it more surreal. *wacko*

While I can't say what one is better, if I had a choice of what one to buy I probably would buy Cafe Corner as I would rather have a town made like that. *wub* I do love so much of Town Plan though but I already have a service station and I think it would look odd with the modular buildings... At this stage Green Grocer is looking mighty appetising! X-D It is pretty good. I do find Mona Lisa quite impressive however. Supposedly it is more so in the flesh. I wasn't even aware there was a difference... :-$ What is the difference?

Good question TheBrickster. *sweet* I have five floating hulls; The new cargo ship, the current fireboat, the 4+ pirate ship, the Durmstrang Ship and the Fabuland Paddle steamer. *wub* All of which I tested out in a bath, including the motor. With the sole exception being the Durmstrang Ship, they were tested complete. (I held the Durmstrang Ship in the water, but it was clear pretty fast that it was too stern heavy. :-D ) However, I only bought the Durmstrang Ship, the fireboat and the 4+ pirate ship as they were on sale, and I have only tested them out once or twice. Thus, I can't say that the actual floating ability matters to me that much. Floating aside, what do I prefer? No easy answer sorry to say! I can't see a ship the size of the cargo ship being a practical brick built ship, but smaller ones like the fireboat I would prefer to be brick built. I also have the Viking Longboat so I have room for another one or two ships that have pre-fab hulls, floating or not. For ths reason the coast guard boat is tempting, but not unbearably so! :-P

Not at all, I have no desire to modify my post at all! :-D Please don't jump to conclusions as I read the whole lot. Did you read all of my post? X-D As I said "Even if that is wrong" which was referring to the lack of clarity with what is the real price. I still think that the Australian price for the RGS will be between $200-$250 but I would love oh so much to be wrong.
-
That is the one of the oddest mistakes I have ever heard of! :-D Even so, you have to admit that it is good news for you; Lego will hapily give you the right head if you ask. Thanks for the review. I have this set too. *wub*

Happy Birthday! (ImperialScouts is 16... *wacko* I never realised that. :-$ )

Target Glenorchy in Tasmania. From the same place that today I got the 7996 switch track for $25, down from $40. The problem is that they don't mark these things, you have to scan it to find out... :-/ I have been waiting for this to come down in price for months. >:-) I knew it would as the idiots brought it in... but no trains to go with it! *wacko* The worse thing about the set is that there isn't much to do with it now I have it. :-P
-
But that's my point! Well eitherway, I can't decide. To me it's like being asked what's better; the Statue of David or Mona Lisa. X-D
-
Sorry to be a party pooper, but I don't think these sets copare well. Any reason why you chose Town Plan as opposed to Green Grocer? I think that would have been a more fair comparison.
-
Thanks sam for the possible prices and the great pics! *sweet* I can guess what the Australian prices will be; x2. |-/ The good thing is I expected that and had already decided that I will have to pass on both the RGS and AT-TE. $180 and $240 is just too much. :'-( Even if that is wrong and they do end up being $160 and $200 it's still too much.
-
You have all the answers today. :'-( Since you have proved me wrong and kicked sand in my face I'll just go off and hide in the corner now. But if anyone sees it or finds out more info please post here. :'-)
-
Since it turns out 2030 is a promo ( :'-( )I have added it to the list. If anyone sees it or finds out its price please tell me. *sweet*

I thought it fit in the Coast Guard theme. Besides, there is a city impulse set coming that has a kayak. But it isn't your fault. Besides, it was mentioned here but I missed it. (I was playing Resistance Fall of Man at the time!) I'll have to add this to the Promo Club then. X-D
