About Me

Hi,

My name is Simon, and I am a Builder.

While I have touched many genres over my short time as an AFOL - I think my true love is Space/Sci-Fi. I am a proud member of ToroLUG and you can find me in Toronto, BrickWorld or Brickfete this year.

I think I can separate my LEGO career into three distinct phases:

Childhood - you know back when BURPs were awesome
Post-Dark Age ~5 years ago - you know when you thought buying BURPs to build rocks were good ideas
AFOL ~1.5 years ago - when I truly embraced the community - and realized and started learning how to build (and BURPs are on the INSIDE)

What has really surprised me about the community is not really the building - yes it's mind-blowingly incredible at times - but the people. I've meet so many interesting and delightful people both in real life and online - people I would easily call my friends.
