  1. I never understood what people claims to be "challening" when there are proper instructions. Just put it together step for step as shown on the actual page. What exactly would make a Lego set challening to build from your point of view?
  2. As a Techno Musician, I love that concept! Are you aware of the videos of Graham Dunning? : Maybe you can use this as a source of Inspiration :)
  3. @Paul B Technic You are exactly describing my thoughts and feelings. In addition I have noted that I am completly done with the meanwhile common colour vomit. The submarine for example, would be a cool little set, but it looks like a bag of confetti.
  4. I really like the model but the intrusive amount of different colours really hurts my eyes. TLG went completly out of control with it.
  5. I expect the engines to be connected to the tail part with a simple lever mechanism. Edit: Here you can see connection:
  6. I am an 80s kid. Grown up in germany with a childhood full of lego technic. Because of Lego I gained technical interests, became a "gearhead" and even my profession is engineering related today. After the famous dark ages, I discovered my love for Lego Technic again. That was around Ten years ago and boy, the thing completly escalated Until today I gained a huge... Really huge Lego collection including Space, Creator and Fairground sets and of course a massive amount of classic and modern Technic Sets. All displayed in a dedicated Lego Room. Over the years I have even started the GBC thing and have rebuilt around 15 Akiyuki modules. I really love my Technic stuff, but I have to admit that Lego is loosing me too, due to the already discussed reasons. Actually im quite busy with my other hobbies like making music or home improvement and my interest for new technic sets is nearly gone. Maybe I will focus on completing my collection of classic sets and hope for better technic times to come again someday.
  7. I always appreciate your detailed builds and that one looks promising too. One thing, I wonder about: As I understand, the marked lever turns to the left when opening the door. But there will be a downside movement of the cross axle too. How will it be compensated?
  8. What a beauty! And obviously it comes with rectractable rear wing, which will be most likely a feature of the technic model as well. Edit: And that is what the 12t gear at the back is for
  9. Something new, not the same boring stuff as usual. Some features that came spontaneously to my mind: - Adjustable suspesion (height and/or resistance) - Foldable roof - A Mechanismen for foldable side mirrors - Working wipers - adjustable seats (like the first supercars had) - Maybe some working fake valves on the Fake engine - Air damped door mechanism (as we had already in some older sets) - Working brakes - And of course: Working LED lights! But I am not a Designer and I believe there are much more possibilitys. I own the 911 GT3 because I was curios about the new step mechanism. But after that, I got bored.
  10. So what is supposed to be the flagship this year? The Volvo thing? Or is it still not announced yet?
  11. Yesterday evening I had some time to build this nice set. From my point of view, this is more an adult display set than a playset. Because of that, the visual appealing was more important to me than usual. Therefore, I replaced all the miscoloured stuff as far as my spare part collections was allowing it. I think it looks much better than the official version now: And here you can see the bunch of unicornvomit I have replaced : As you can see, I also added two small rubber tires to the main structure support roll in order to remove the slight sagging of the rotating arm.
  12. I was talking about new functions and not new parts. And the Volvo Hauler is not a licensed car :)
  13. Considering the last years, are you still hoping for new functions in a licensed car model? I expect nothing else than another boring but well shaped shelf queen.
