  1. Yes . I did eventually see this and it's what I'll be going to do. I've found a local guy willing to Chrome plate nickle silver etc my bricklink Porsche wheels and the air scoop for the exhaust. I'm 70% there. Ran out of budget this month , paid in 3 weeks hopeful to have enough to get final parts .
  2. Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Angled #3 - 157.5 degrees - in orange are now getting very hard to source locally in the UK - might have to build mine without these and change to other colours until they become available again. I've already had to buy a green air scoop, which i'll have to spray paint.. Once I know I "can" build this I'll get the instructions, just hope changing number 3 angled connector won't ruin its looks too much.
  3. I don't like in green either. So if I've got to spray paint the wheels looking likely I'll be spray painting that part as well Only option I think. This moc is too good to pass up on.
  4. I love this model, I'm trying to price it up with a spare Technic Porsche GT3 - the number 3 connectors are getting hard to source - and I have to paint the wheels? Sorry, which paint would anyone recommend? I'm good with a spray can, so no issue re-painting some wheels if needed, but what colour is everyone using? https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6797&name=Technic Engine Air Scoop 4 x 4 x 1 1/3&category=[Technic]#T=S&C=38&O={"color":"38","iconly":0} Agree - another part I'll have to use a different colour, hopefully won't matter too much .
  5. The total width is around 34 cm, but the stand itself needs only 27-28 cm to lay completely on a shelf. The height is around 57 cm with the model attached. I've just recently attached my falcon to this stand. Makes a huge difference to space saving
  6. The Red 5 X Wing is £89.99 for 730 parts, and I'm sorry but much as I love my Lego sets on release - I'm waiting this out for better prices, I collect Star Wars, Creator Expert and Technic and the sets are becoming very expensive, so time to wait it out for better deals. Poes X wing was I think £69.99 on release. Might be wrong.
  7. Thank you, I managed to make an XML of the parts and import into bricklink, can get 98% in the UK today for under £200 - replaced a few rare colours with dark grey but other then this looks like I can build this, so many thanks you helped me a lot.
  8. Ah well thats a bit of an issue then if some parts simply do not exist. I'll PM you with email addy - as any help would be appreciated, as this model is a decent size and part count compared to other frigates that are IMO to large. Thank you.
  9. Sorry for restoring such an old thread, I got the LXF file LDD from ultimatecollectorstickers.co.uk as I really want to build this however uploading the file to bricklink to get a parts list to help me make a wanted list to buy the parts results in this - The following items in the XML file are invalid or do not exist in the Bricklink Catalog. Please fix the following errors: Item No: 2714 Item No: 30361pb04 Item No: 3626bpb432 Item No: 3626bpb121 Item No: 3626bpb242 Any ideas - has anyone got a XML or something to help me buy the parts? I like this MOC and really wanted to try and build it.
  10. so... £650 UK to brick-link that one. Comparable to the UCS falcon - so all in all isn't amazingly over priced in things considering. Not many sets I own not built to part out to help me drop that price. Impressive MOC all the same.
  11. Black and Grey. I am not happy with the 2L red axles are all. The yellow 3L are not as nice either, nearly all my Technic sets I've swapped out the Red and Yellow Axles where visible for black or grey. The Class Tractor Attachment looked dreadful with the Red 2L Axles , and The Mack Anthem was horrendous with all the yellow, red Axles, swapped them all for black etc. That sadly is the issue. Its coloured coded to identity. I've worked out the sizes just by looking, as I build so many Technic Sets, but kids and new comers, the colours do help. Axles are so cheap on Bricklink, I just bulk buy black n grey and I have a huge collection of red and yellow sat around doing not much.
  12. Just picked up at car boot sale, Lego Technic Racer Ferrari 599 gtb 8145 with some other Creator car sets which aren't Technic for £20 ... Seller had no idea the worth of the boxes I got, 8145 is complete minus a couple of wheel hubs, and the creator sets are Mini Cooper and Camper Van, these are in plastic zip bags - For £20 couldn't complain.
  13. Same as me, I am a slow gradual builder, I like to see how it works, build in sections, check it works like it should, fit wheels before model is finished, and push it around, or if using motors test etc.. It takes me a lot longer to build my Technic models. I spend hours on them, but least we get our monies worth eh?
  14. I would hope the Chiron would be better, you'd expect each new set from Lego of this type to slowly improve and make changes and introduce new parts, techniques. Right from the early first Technic super car 8860 - to today each set should be a new challenge and bring new ground. I have both, but only just got around to building the Porsche, I look forward to the Bugatti next. Good video BTW
  15. I'm nearly done I just hope we can all make the Bugatti as good as this turned out soon as modders etc get their minds on it... As this is an amazing model now, and I'm sure the Bugatti will have its flaws fixed eventually.
