You always were drawn to fire. Most kids who like fire become a fireman. So did you. But putting out fires wasn’t enough for you. You wanted to create fire. So you did. You accidently set a whole apartment building on fire. Luckily you managed to evacuate everyone so no one was killed but you were dismissed from the fire department. So you joined the circus and became a fire breather. You have a relation with Gingeroono the strongman.

The lifeforms here are beyond crude; superstitious, obsessed with bodily functions and mentally small. They still believe the Earth is the center of the universe
Killing them is no big deal, anymore than they would have qualms about killing a dog. Unfortunately, your technology is all but turned to rubbish. You do have one phaser pistol, but it only gets one charge a day, forced to rely on solar energy.
