  1. 71044 Disney Train and Station, another tough sell but with a much larger fan base, received a 30% Black Friday discount less than three months after its release. I don't recall it going on sale again at LEGO.
  2. $300 USD for a non-motorized train is a tough sell.
  3. 30689 Birthday Party Animals is awesome. It makes me smile
  4. Hi @Brickander Brickumnus There's a Stud.io file (and so much more) here: https://www.mybricks4u.com/miscellaneous.html
  5. The picture of the command module launching from the rover was unexpected. That's cool, great idea.
  6. I love the dragon's head, the floating rocks, and the foam from the waterfalls. Beautiful scene, thanks for sharing!
  7. Beautiful MOC. Visually appealing from all sides. Very interesting video as well, I enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to seeing the next element
  8. Wow, this is really nice! Beautiful creation
  9. Nice collection. Quite a few classic sets. Is that you shredding the axe in the intro/outro?
  10. Criticism without solution is not a critical discussion. It's non-constructive. There is no forward progress. Have you considered why flaws you've pointed are in the final model? Is it conceivable they're present on purpose? I said the MOC may be more fragile. If I was speculating, I would have said, "MOCs I've built in the past have all been fragile, so the MOC you're highlighting is probably fragile as well." I'm not making excuses or policing opinions, but rather, having a discussion with you and others. I question claims you've made because they don't hold up when viewed objectively. I'll take your word that you don't like the model, but you have no evidence to prove the glaring oversight you've accused LEGO of committing.
  11. What I like and dislike are my personal preferences. I would not criticize the work of another because of a subjective opinion. Again, people may dislike how LEGO chose to represent the vehicle, but that doesn't make it a bad set. I've said that the model appears to be well designed and closely resembles the actual vehicle. The New Elementary review shared by @Lyichir, as well as others I've viewed online, seem to confirm these points.
  12. When did I say they always come up with the best solutions and never make mistakes? The degradation of someone's hard work without providing solutions to faults noted is what led me to comment in this thread. And I look forward to seeing fans' solutions to problems some people have with this set. I'm sure there will eventually be a "10337 - Countach Mods and Improvements" thread. But the official LEGO model and someone's MOC are two separate things. The MOC may have more accurate proportions, but it may also be more fragile and frustrating to build. Focusing solely on proportions would not provide a thorough comparison.
  13. This you? https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/196872-does-eurobricks-need-a-no-opinion-police-rule/&tab=comments#comment-3662611 " I want people to disagree with me. If I like something, I want them to tell me why it sucks. If I hate something, I want them to tell me why it's good"
  14. Former designer James May has been providing insight on the design process of a LEGO set. He talks about how models are scrutinized throughout the design process, and how there are many talented designers at LEGO. If someone gets stuck on something, there's a good chance someone else in the building will have a solution. That being said, help me understand why inaccuracies in the model could have been avoided. Why were they not identified and addressed by some of the best LEGO designers in the world? There's no need for excuses because LEGO has produced a solid set. It won't appeal to everyone, obviously, but that doesn't make it a bad/poorly designed/horrible set. It just means that some people don't like it.
  15. Resemble does not mean identical. Every Creator Expert/Icons vehicle will have inaccuracies when compared to the real-world vehicle, but each possesses a resemblance. In this case, you know it's a Countach. I enjoy these large scale vehicles and am glad LEGO produces them. I understand compromises must be made due to various circumstances beyond the design team's control.
