About Me
My intro post: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=56541&st=0&p=1007412entry1007412
I have a variety of interests, but nearly all of them are technically related. I've also been training martial arts since 1997, but doesn't have to much to show from it... I'm a Red Belt i ITF Taekwon-Do, have traind Krav Maga, kickboxing, Sambo and some other self defense related martial arts. But even though I'm not very highly graded in any of these styles I still feel very confident I can defend myself (and others) in most situations. ;)
I've been working with all kinds of stuff, but have been most happy when working in technical fields. My jobs have ranged for summer jobs at; mechanical workshops, fish industry and as a painter, through part time jobs as; bouncer, bartender and security Guard, to being an officer in the Royal Norwegian Airforce, and now an engineer working with Flight navigation and Control Systems.
My current job as Flight Navigation Systems Engineer is twofold. It consists both of maintenance and upgrade on the systems we use in Norway, and modifying an developing systems. I work both as a System Administrator for the computerized system the flight controllers use, and as a systems engineer on Radar systems.
While in the military I took a comprehensive education on radar systems, and later I went to Narvik University College to study Rocket Science (The Norwegian name is more directly translated as Space Technology). This combined with a technical interest from I was born has given me e wide background that comes in handy when trying to build some of the more complex MOCs I'm working on.
I've had a long break from Lego, and only began MOCing (is that a word?) again a year or so back. I haven't really made a lot of MOCs as I've been moving and buying a new house, but I have a lot of design ideas, and have made a lot of models in CAD that I'm going to realize. I'm a bit hampered at the moment though, as my new PC can't run LDraw or SR 3D (Administrative work computer with a lot of restrictions even though I'm local administrator on it).
Hopefully I'll get some hands on time the next few months, and can present some new MOCs and ideas her.
I'll include a simple list of all my MOCs here, and try to keep it up to date with links to blogs, and presentations of them.
MOC listing: (MOCs marked with [P] are planed, [C] are under construction, and [D] are done)

-[C] Cat 160H Motor grader, Full RC road grader with lots of functionality. Some design-work done.

-[P] Unimog U1650 or U2100 - offroad, can take front equipment from 8110 U400.
-[P] Extra equipment for roadgrader, unimogs and Front Loader. (Will be interchangeable).
Technic, machines/ideas:
-[D] 3 speed sequential gearbox, controlled by a single M-PF motor. [Must be tested]
-[D] (Failed) 6 in one PF-controlled valve, 4 M-PF motors. (Can be modified to any number of functions, but the 6 is a really compact construction) [Must be tested]
-[C] 6 in one PF-Valve gen 2.
-[D] Several heavy duty front suspensions with 4WD driveline. (I will collect all of these in one thread) [Must rebuild and take pictures]
-[D] A coupe of modified Lego fake motors for a more realistic look. (I will collect all of these in one thread) [Need to take pictures]
Other:
-[D] USS Missouri MOC. Original MOC from I was 10 - 11 years old. The basic structure is still alive, and i will rebuild the rest form pictures.
This is already built, but i need to go home to collect my Lego, and refurbish this MOC.
-[P] "USS Missouri the remake". A new take on the same project. Basically a test to see how far myself and Lego has come since the early -90's.
I haven't started this yet, but I'm certain I will build it. I just need to go home get the original and refurbish it firsth.
-[C] "Spaceship One":
Have started a MOC Called "Spaceship One". It will probably take several years to complete, but the plan is simple; To build my vision of near future space travel. It will be a Mars exploration mission, based on known designs, and kept as realistic as possible. Done it should be about 120 to 150 cm long, and incorporate a lot of smaller models.
-[P] Sloop of War, based on old Pirates Lego.
