hello there! After months of building and teasing it in the May 4th-contest I finally want to show you a larger moc: the Stinger Mantis from the Jedi: Fallen Order-videogame! I fell instantly in love with that ship playing the game for the first time and I decided it will be only a matter of time before I build it with LEGO bricks^^ After countless hours of trial and error, some desparation and headache I am finally happy to share it with you :) It is a bit improvised at some parts and not 100% screen-acurate, but that is due to my building abilities and part (not-)availability. As I haven't played the successor yet, this model and the crew are based on the aforementioned first game. I chose to build it with the 'mercenary'-skin, as that is what I am using ingame aswell. Originally, I wanted to use light bluish gray, mainly to save my wallet but to be honest, lbg had no chance against the metallic silver... Apart from the overall iconic form of the ship, the arrangement and movement of the wings is another part that I wanted to recreate as good as possible. And I went insane more than once doing so. Both wings can be moved separately by 360° around a base of technic-bricks and half-cylinders. With a few moves, it can be easily changed from flight- to landing mode. The landing gear is not fixed and is like a secong display stand, so to say. It has a - somewhat - complete interior. A little bit cramped, but that was a neccessary compromise. And last but not least, we have the complete crew. Cal Kestis, Cere Junda and BD-1 were part of a older minifigure collection of mine. With the double-arms from the new CMF-Stitch I could finally build Greez Dritus, the Stinger Mantis' captainwith his iconic mullet-baldhead-sideburns-haircut. The Nightsister Merrin is the newest addition to the crew. I struggled a lot with this minifig, as there are not really many white female heads. cheers Phil

hello. For my last entry I used a part of a larger moc I am building at the moment. The cockpit of the Stinger Mantis from the 'Jedi - Fallen Order' videogame series. As I haven't played the successor yet, this model and the crew are based on the aforementioned first game. I chose to build it with the 'mercenary'-skin, as that is what I am using ingame aswell, so I went all out with the metallic silver parts :D It is a little bit cramped on the inside. But as the cockpit itself is part of a larger build, I had to find the perfect sweet spot between interior design and exterior scale of the ship. Some shots without the crew... And of course we have the whole crew, just as important as the ship itself! Four Minifigs in total, five if you count little BD-1. Cal Kestis and Cere Junda were part of a older minifigure collection of mine, I hope it's okay to reuse them as they fit perfectly here. The Nightsister Merrin is the newest addition to the crew. Just like @marvelBoy123 in his droid repair shop, a Latero minifig was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the new CMF Stitch's arms. More specifically Greez Dritus, the Stinger Mantis' captain. The backwards beard is my best attempt to recreate his iconic mullet-baldhead-sideburns-haircut ^^ Phil

really cool little vignette. I think this is my favourite build so far! :) That hairpiece is just perfect:D

aaaand anotha one! [M4-23 - Imperial Ship] TIE/D Automated Starfighter

hello there. Here is my TIE/D drone for the 'Imperial Ship'-category, and another Legends/EU-entry. I went with a rather simple ship. Or so I thought... The build was way more challenging than I inicially thought. From making the wings elegant and sleek while still being sturdy enough, to the almost perfect round shape of the cockpit. TIE drones - or TIE/D automated starfighters - were built in the so called World Devastators under the command of the reborn Emperor Palpatine ('Somehow, Palpatine returned..."), approximately six years after the battle of Endor. Although being relatively simple and cheap machines, their sheer number posed a serious threat to the New Republic's fleet. Phil

Here's my second entry :) It's the story of FG-28942, a freshly promoted squad leader with the Shore Trooper corps on Scarif, and his fight with the local flora. ____________________ 'I did it!,' FG-28942 thought to himself. 'I finally got my own squad! After all these years the General promoted me to squad leader. And even on Scarif, one of - if not THE - safest place in the galaxy! Patrolling the beaches in the sun, there are definitively worse places to be stationed.' There was for example Commander Croh, who told his stories from that hellhole Mimban at every opportunity. No, FG was very happy where he was now. 'I am going to be the best squad leader this base has ever seen. I am going to bring order to these beaches!' ... 'For starters, someone has to take care of these coconuts. They are disorderly and unpredictable. The empire hates disarray and unpredictability, and the General above all.' 'They are dangerous and may hurt someone. I will have it taken care of as soon as we get back, and the General will be very pleased.' 'What did dad always tell us? "You are statistically more likely to be killed by a coconut than by a Gundark"? Not on my watch, dad. Not on my watch!' Cheers Phil

number one :) [M4-23 - Rogue Clone] Duel on Maryx Minor

hello there, I haven't posted anything here in a while but given the fact that I wanted to build some more Star Wars-stuff anyway, this seems like a good motivation to get back in the Star Wars-game ;) For the Rogue Clone category I recreated a scene from the fourth book of the "Boba Fett - Enemy of the Empire" comic series, released in 1999. As Boba Fett is a clone aswell, and one that went against the norm on more than one occasion, i tought it would be a fitting story for that category. But please let me know if it doesn't qualify. The story is set in the year 3 BBY. Boba Fett is tasked by Darth Vader to retrieve a mysterious box from a former imperial colonel. Not knowing that Vader is planning to have him killed after that mission, Boba Fett tracks down the colonel on the planet Maryx Minor and gets ahold of the box before killing the hit squad sent after him. Following that failure, Vader himself travels to Maryx Minor to confront Boba Fett and get the box, which seems to have a greater value for him than Fett expected initially. A fight between the two ensues with no one beeing able to get the upper hand. At one point, Boba Fett - realizing the value of the object he just retrieved - jumps of a cliff with the box in hand only to emerge with his jetpack blasting and knocking a surprised Vader off his feet. Boba Fett would later take advantage of Vaders desire to obtain the box by throwing it of the cliff and escaping the fight while Darth Vader desperately tried to save it. The build itself is a pretty simple one. As it is an older story, I choose a relatively old-school style for the rocks with many slopes, wedge plates and some curved parts. I also wanted to try a new style for Boba Fetts EE-3 blaster rifle. cheers Phil

hello there. A question regarding the 'minifigure habitat'-category: Can the habitat itself (being smaller than 16x16x16) be part of a larger model? For example the engine bay of a larger ship or a single room in a building. cheers Phil

Another day, another Porsche... ..or something like this. The 1973 Porsche 911 - my absolute dreamcar! Until I get to drive one of those myself, I'll have to settle for the smaller, brick-built versions :D And since LEGO's Speed Champions Porsches are not really my style, I created my own. It's mostly my own designs, ideas and builds, but I also got some inspiration from jon3lliott's classic 911s. - 6 studs wide (+ mirrors and fenders) - ~200 parts - fits two minifigs (but not with every headgear/hairpiece) Enjoy :) (Click the images for zoom/larger pictures) Phil

Hello there. So here it is, my very first own modular building: a small corner café. It's based on 24 x 32 studs (+ sidewalks), has two floors, a rooftop terrace and a small backyard. I don't exactly know how many parts it has, I just built it over the course of the past weeks and didn't really think about counting. I got the basic idea from the set 41379 'Heartlake City Restaurant', the first friends set that I really liked. The bright light yellow with the medium nougat at the bottom is a really nice colour combination and the green adds a nice touch to the whole building. The first floor is for the café. With five tables, there is enough room for guests but one can also get their coffee and donut to go. From the back there is a staircase to the first floor where the kitchen is, and with another flight of stairs you get to the terrace. Here one can enjoy their favourite cake with a view, all while being in the grapevine's cool shade. I hope you like it.
