  1. Series 2 of Abbot Elementary has just finished in the UK. In one episode, Gregory bought the Flower bouquet as a present for his girlfriend. She did not like it! A regular panellist on the BBC News "The Context", has many Lego Ideas set in the background of her room/office. Lego Architecture featured as a question in the game show "Tenable". The question was to name 10 landmarks that appeared in the London and New York skyline sets.
  2. Do you remember when Lego released some sets in alternative colours, like the Fiat 500 in blue? I wonder if the Jazz Club would be a good set to that again with. Some would still criticize the colour choice.
  3. I'm holding off until Feb/Mar for the pizza gwp. I also heard that it was tied in with the modular. Which, if true, is unfair to those who buy early. I remember the Vinitage Taxi as a gwp after January, but can't remember if it was only with purchase of the modular. For the space fans, the Blacktron gwp is great. I'm not so much of a fan, so I can wait. Timing of the Blacktron gwp is odd to me.
  4. New leak of an architecture set will be released in August, set number 21060 with 2125 pieces. Codenamed tbd-Architecture-2-2023. That suggests another set will also be released before or at the same time, I guess with number 21059. No word on a skyline yet. If there is one it has been moved to later in the year, not in January as has been the case in previous years.
  5. Most US landmarks that have been turned into Lego sets, are in the Architecture series. Apart from the Statue of Liberty from 2000, Lego has yet to release a US landmark set in the Creator Expert / Icons series.
  6. These are both very nice. Pleasantly surprised by the Dried Flowers Centrepiece. And it can be combined to form a larger display. I was very sceptical about this theme when first launched. But it is growing into one of my favourites.
  7. A lot of things in the minifig world are massively oversized in scale. A watchmaker with oversized precision instruments would fit in well.
  8. I'm not from the US, but I have heard of some US stadium's, the Yankee Stadium comes readily to mind. I'm not sure whether the 3 stadium's already produced are big sellers anyway. Maybe a US one would sell. As for licensed roller coasters, is there really a need. It would only serve to bump up the price, and the most recent coaster already costs a pretty penny.
  9. A Jazz Club is rather niche, especially when more standard buildings are needed, like a hospital, post office etc. On the other hand, maybe it is considered more "adult". Not something you would see in City or Classic Town. My guess is the Jazz Club is just a cover for something more seedy and dark going's on. The Pizzeria could also be, maybe Italian Mafia is involved the "cookie" smuggling, or running some sort of protection racket in the town.
  10. Yes, A squirrel. That make the set worth it! I'll buy it just for that alone!!! The pizzeria, which is the secondary building, is a much nicer building, much better than the main building. I will probably remove the Jazz Club sign. Don't like it. Then it could be any kind of music venue. I agree with the other comments. It looks like a cross between the fire station and the cinema. Not a instant day one purchase. I have the Bricktoria Pub MOC, that also has a music venue on one of the floors. Not sure I need this. Maybe just the pizzeria.
  11. Even though I didn't believe the time and date was secretly hidden in full view on the last modular, a part of me hoped it was pointing to today as the reveal for the next modular.
  12. The daffs are now on lego.com as coming soon The description also mentions about one of new releases coming next year, confirming the set. These pretty daffodils can be combined with other LEGO flower sets, such as the Wildflower Bouquet (10313), Roses (40460), Tulips (40461) or Sunflowers (40524) – each set sold separately. I will probably buy the other smaller flower sets now as well as the daffs and make my own "Garden Flowers" Bouquet.
  13. There is a picture of the box on Instagram. Not sure if real or fake. Box says Pizza, not Pizzeria. No mention of jazz or music club.
  14. The set divides into 4 sections. So if you have no space for such a large set, just display one section on a rota
  15. No, no no, no no!!! I was hoping this to be rubbish so I don't have to buy it. But it's really good!! Makes the 10181 Eiffel Tower look blocky by comparison. I wonder how this will affect prices of the 10181. Even second-hand sets go for £500+. Hey, if you own one, you could sell it to buy the new one. I didn't get the set back in 2007, and I didn't want to pay out the high prices it goes for now, so my set is actually a clone.
