  1. I'm not expecting any new minifigure characters. These two sets don't sound too promising. My biggest hope is that part of the budget for new molds is going to the introduction of a new Chao piece. But I think the introduction of these two pieces might mean an Orbot in the same style as Cubot could finally be done justice. Maybe he'll be in the Eggman set. I guess it's also possible Cream appears in the truck. She's the only character beyond Tails/Knuckles/Amy I really think you could squint and say has ever been a member of Team Sonic, even if that was like 20 years ago. :P But that set probably has Sonic, Tails, and Amy, maybe with the latter finally getting a variant of some kind. And who knows, there could be a surprise villain character there too. Though it's hard to imagine who/what that would be if they aren't important enough to be mentioned in the set name. Another potential piece which might be preventing new characters would be a new set of tails to depict Tails flying. But it's also possible that after the first two years the mold budget has simply decreased, and so Metal Sonic was the only new character they could create with what they had. It's hard to complain too much. I never really expected Rouge, Metal Sonic, Super Shadow, the Cyclone, or Biolizard. Everything else this theme gets is gravy at this point, imo. Edit: Also for what it's worth, Big is pretty much at the top of my wishlist for minifigure characters right now. He's been around for a long time, and even if his first appearance wasn't that great, I think it's fun to see him when he shows up. I think he's appeared in recent games and other media more frequently than Cream, the Chaotix, and the Babylon Rogues. Molding would be expensive, but at least the first two years of this theme had a pretty generous budget for minifigure pieces it seems.
  2. I don't really want a Shumacher Batcave, but if it has the turntable that's a plus. I really liked that feature in the old 2006 Batcave. And then an Uma Thurman Poison Ivy might be nice to have. That movie's version of Bane would also look pretty good as a minifigure. I do find it kind of hard to believe this rumor, however. A playscale Burton Batave or 66 Batcave? Sure. Versions from the Nolan or Reeves films or BTAS? Alright. But Batman and Robin of all things? The movie has its appreciators (I'm one of them) but it's not particularly beloved or well-remembered compared to any other version.... Batman Forever is a little more believable, but I don't find that too exciting. It would mean a somewhat more traditional Robin minifigure, at least. But honestly a turntable for the Batmobile would still be the biggest draw for me. :P
  3. I don't think Big would need to be much larger than Eggman. I'm not sure how big they are supposed to be relative to each other, but Lego's scale for minifigures is already wonky.
  4. Sorry to be that guy, but mini-dolls use minifigure hair way more often than minifigures use doll hair. That's been common practice since the beginning of the Friends theme (most men and boys had reused minifig hair) and it just became common over time. Minifigures using doll hair only started to become common in 2023 when Friends did away with rubber hairpieces. But yes, they are completely interchangeable. And the last few years Lego has made an effort to bring their designs more aligned with each other. Now the only major difference most of the time is that mini-doll hair has pinholes on the top. The mini-doll space helmets, however, do not fit minifigures.
  5. Kyle was in Lego Batman 3 though. But there is no way he appears next year. Guy Gardner is the only one with a viable shot. If we ever get back to the golden era of this theme and they get over their Lantern allergy I wouldn't put Kyle out of the question. I do think that Star Sapphire, at least, and possibly Jo Mullein and Atrocitus will show up before he does though.
  6. Yes, many of them have multiple options. It looks like you've done a pretty good job of finding the minifigure counterparts already. Here are a few of my notes: Bronze Age - the three you selected seem right. The bright blue one might be the most accurate not just to the BHz but to the art from the period. Batman 89 - only SH607 and SH899 are based on the 1989 movie. The other Keaton Batman figures are based on the Batman Returns costume. But the BHz is generic enough that it can really represent either. Sometimes the black 2006 minifigure is also listed as a Keaton variant, but that seems to match the suit from the Troika arc in the comics best. (Which, to be fair, was inspired by the Burton films.) Dark Knight - I think you got most of them. There is also BAT024 from the old Batman theme and the SDCC exclusive SH002. Batman vs Superman - As Oky said, this should be SH 217; this figure isn't super accurate, but it is based on the same suit as the one represented by the 8in1. It wouldn't surprise me if Lego decides to revisit this one someday, despite BvS being a complete mess.
  7. How much are we looking at for another Tumbler. $70 at least? :P A new Two-Face and TDK Joker coming in a retail set is good, at least, I guess. But the last Tumbler was pretty much perfect so this might be a hard sell, especially with current prices. edit: $60 for 429 pieces; not too far off from the BTAS mobile and just seven pieces more than the last Tumbler. We'll see about this. Maybe if it were Bane's and had a bunch of printed pieces, but also I'm excited to see Two-Face in a set again. :P The Superman mech is ridiculous but seeing Superman and Lex again after so long is refreshing. And a 4+ Batmobile for $20...that's much more reasonable than the last one being almost $30 for less pieces than this new one will have. And who knows, maybe it will come with a second figure who is somebody other than Joker. :o
  8. You had me checking the date to see if that was even possible.
  9. That looks great. Thanks! The ice gun is simple yet effective too. I'll probably steal that.
  10. Quick question for anyone who has the BTAS Batmobile set and doesn't mind condescending to be sane for a second: I'm curious whether Mr. Freeze's helmet fits on either these pieces. I'm not a big fan of the minifigure as is (I love the BTAS design, but this rendition is just too flat) but I'm hoping that the new helmet will at least allows for some good opportunities for customization. You mean will she get leg printing, a special cape, and anything other than the generic over-the-shoulder hairpiece? :P
  11. This was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting to see this for months! I agree with pretty much everyone else. It's a neat set, but a weird choice. They must have really wanted the 2-in-1 feature for these two games in particular. The minifigures, new molds, and prints are all really cool. But I'll need to see reviews before forking over that much money for this set.
  12. In addition to the RC Batmobile someone mentioned, a couple of the 2013 sets were very loosely inspired by Arkham--well, the one set and a Mr. Freeze minifigure--but the accuracy isn't great. Mr. Freeze doesn't have goggles, and the Arkham facade is really just a passing resemblance to the Asylum in the first game. I don't think it's likely to happen because, beloved as they are, these are video games and Lego is still pretty selective. The Arkham series also isn't exactly what it was 10 years ago. A high budget sequel of sorts releasing this year would make this the reasonable time to do it, but that flopped and the future of the developer is in question. But if BTAS and Ocarina of Time can get sets after 30/25+ years, who knows, maybe someday there will be an Arkham Brickhead or a Batman bust or something. :P
  13. I still need to see a bit more of this show before I'm sold, but I'm very happy to see Catwoman in her classic purple and green costume. That's a very underrated design which has been forgotten in a lot of modern versions. I'd love to get a minifigure version some day, but I don't expect this show to get sets.
  14. Very strange. That set was amazing. Versus something like the Sorting Hat which was also in the survey.
  15. Yeah, Batgirl is an original design. She has the classic batlogo to match Batman and Lego's favorite wig to save money. I think she might have the short cape without scallops too? Weird. And the Kryptonite. Uh, a reference to Superman is better than absolutely no Superman at all ever? Maybe? I don't hate it too much. The LURPs are better than some of the panels the Juniors sets use and there is a good spread of stuff for little kids. (Unlike that overpriced 4+ Batmobile from last year.) The tile on Joker's car is fun too. That has some reuse potential.
