History:
As a kid, I was quite obsessed with Exo-Force as well as Racers, space themes, and Bionicles growing up. Probably why I never got into City since it had no factioned wars/conflict. My dark age lasted for only 3 years starting when I was 13 and ending when I turned 16, I started being heavily interested in the Technic series and my first set was the 2014 green snowmobile (42021). Shortly later I ended up getting the 2015, 24-hour Le Man's car and my Technic passion just started growing ever since. As an automobile fan, it really spoke to me the amount of detail Technics have. I thought technics (because this was the early 2000s) always looked ugly as a kid, but now, especially thanks to the introduction of countless new technic molds and more detailed sets, they are quite remarkable in functions and looks. Occasionally I will take technics from the vintage era and the early 2000s and give them a modernized revamp. Sometimes this will even include giving a very slight redesign to them to make them resemble the real world vehicle they were inspired by
A heavily unpopular opinion I have is that I LOVE stickers and placing them has been somewhat of a ritual for me where I will use a Swiss army blade and a desk lamp to conduct a perfect, symmetrical sticker placement. After all, its going to permanently define how nice your build is going to end up looking... muahahaha! It is stressful but rewarding at the same time and it really gives the model its own unique personality. Prints are cool too but their downside is that they can limit what you can use them for since they are part of the brick.
As of 2020, I started collecting the speed champions series ever since they introduced the 8 stud system of cars. Had them all displayed on a shelf in my office while my technics are displayed in my basement. Never leave your Legos in front of sunlight. They will yellow and sticker crack!
