  1. Me, too. My family is from the place where Mosasaurus was first discovered, so I’m super interested in them. It’d be nice to have an updated, modernized version of the 6721 Mosasaurus from 2001.
  2. Sounds like a very exciting selection! I look forward to finding out more about the forest spirit, the bard and the foal, especially, but frankly, what a wonderful selection across the board!
  3. Hahaha, true! Either way, I think it’s absolutely positive that the book looks wholesome. So cute. That’s not bad in my, ah, Little Golden Book.
  4. This looks so… so… I mean, ‘wholesome’ is not a word usually associated with pirates, but… Looking forward to this one immensely! And to its Castle counterpart, of course.
  5. Bit late to this thread, but… Lurtz from The Lord of the Rings has a torso that could be passed off as that of a Black man, if you don’t mind him having mud or the like all over him: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=110101#T=S&O={"iconly":0}
  6. It’s possible they’ll reveal it at LEGO CON this Saturday. 🤔
  7. Wow! What a year for LEGO animals! It’s like all our Christmases have come at once. Lions, elephants, monkeys, sheep! Those bigger animals look mightily cool and the small ones are absolutely adorable. Looking forward to seeing many, many MOCs and brickfilms and whatnot with Africa influences and perhaps the odd Narnia scene.
  8. Loving the lion cub and the new monkey! This really makes me wonder what the elephant(s?) will look like. It’s so great to see LEGO make more animal-dependent sets.
  9. This makes me very, very happy. I’m from the Netherlands and Van Gogh is (obviously) one of our most famous artists. Aside from that, the building techniques of the painting look fascinating. A very inspired and promising choice!
  10. Universal acts like most producers of entertainment do: the latest product is considered the most important. It’s unusual for brands to keep paying attention to older parts of any media franchise. Only Star Wars and Harry Potter really come to mind as exceptions to this rule. Marvel aren’t making (or overseeing other companies making) a lot of toys based on their earliest films at the moment. Universal, I think, is treating the Jurassic franchise quite similarly to the way most franchises are treated by most production houses. As for hearing how many sets had been planned for 2021 at one point: wow! Here’s hoping they will all come out sooner or later. I love the Jurassic franchise, and I can’t wait to see what will come in those sets. We can expect a few new dinosaurs, as there have been each year, so there is hope yet for some of the ones on everybody’s lists, I suppose.
  11. Wow, the building looks amazing! I love what they’ve done with it. Here’s hoping we’ll soon see what minifigs and animals might be part of the set.
  12. Wait. Unique BAM cat? Seagull? I thought I followed this thread fairly regularly. Could you enlighten me, please?
  13. Oh! That new donut looks much better to me. The old one only really works on a white background (in my view, anyway). Thanks for this thread. Very practical way to keep up.
  14. Very sad to see you go. All this time, you’ve been a highly appreciated source of information and a popular member here. Thanks for sticking around as long as you have. All the best to you, and I hope sometime we may see you again.
  15. None of the new waves have ever *completely* fallen into a two-film category, have they? There have been outliers every year since the theme restarted. Though, true, the main focus sure seems to be 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 and now probably 7-8. The new Flitwick is a good attempt. Nice to have that beard in white. It could’ve been better, especially when it comes to the legs. Maybe they could’ve given him a ‘dress’ much like Yule Ball Hermione. Or included a green wizard’s hat. Still, the whole concept of the classroom books and the fantastic McGonagall figure are very promising! Here’s hoping this version of the theme will get to go on for a while yet.
