  1. 9: 2 11: 2 14: 2 22: 2 23: 2 Nice job everybody!
  2. My Unimog with a scissor lift attachment: I modified the cab to look more like the real thing, I'll have to make some pictures. Also, I added 10L black axles to the pneumatic switches of the crane to make them longer and easier to control.
  3. yes, it definitely has to do with that. Hell, I posted 5 or 6 pictures of what I was working on and got no reaction But no hard feelings, that's not your fault
  4. I know that. And like I said I don't mind if you feel inspired and want to make your own version of it. But do you understand why I am irritated?
  5. Thanks DLuders. But I have no motivation at the moment to post anything that has to do with my MOC. Think about it, you have a nice idea, which you post on this forum expecting it to be a Work In Progress thread where you post pictures of your progress and where people comment and give advice. Then somebody else comes around, takes the idea and completely steals your thunder. That doesn't make you want to post a WIP MOC, only a finished product. Again, I don't have a problem if people find my MOC inspiring and want to make something themselves as well. But if somebody else completely takes over my idea, yes then I have a problem with that. This is not about anything against zbij of course, I like what he did as well. But I found it a bit rude that he didn't post his version of the mini crawler on my thread instead of making his own thread with my idea. Maybe the mods could have merged the threads. After all, it is technically the same creation, that spun from my brain and made him think about how he could make one as well.
  6. piss off with your useless comment If you really want to compare zbij's creation and mine, go ahead. But remember that I had posted a preliminary picture of a Work In Progress, and was in the process of motorizing it. After I posted pictures of the process I was working on the post was ignored completely. That does not motivate me to continue working on it let alone posting any of my progress I have made. It was my idea to make a mini rock crawler, if people want to make it, fine. if people want to create their own, fine. But don't ignore where the inspiration came from.
  7. Of course i like it when somebOdy gets inspired my a moc i make but i am slightly annoyed that even though i post pictures of my original moc that inspired zbij's odea nobod replies to my post. I am not theilled to post any more pictures of mocs on this forum, since it doesn't bring anything anyway.
  8. I agree, but the more specific the parts are, the less possible for lego to use them in other sets. Maybe those wheels look great on a Unimog but not necessarily on a supercar. I think that's the main drive behind their decisions, to make sets that are as close as possible to the original yet its parts are completely interchangeable and usable to make virtually anything.
  9. 1) I definitely agree the time limit should have been much more strict. It basically gives some people an advantage and some others not, which is not fair. Also, I think pre-voting should be a 50%-50% mix of judges and forum (though I do realize there would be a lot of voting involved I don't think people would really mind voting twice, once for the pre-selection and once for the final winners). 2) Can you perhaps use the 'poll' function to let people vote, it would be much easier for the mods to count votes? for the rest, I definitely loved the contest and the theme and what people came up with. Keep the challenges coming!
