Thank you for the kind comment :-). Yeah the mountain took a lot of time and patience. And it was kinda repetitive to build but it was totally worth it. And literally all my black, dbg and lbg bins were empty after this build. We actually took the picture at night. This whole thing was mainly built for the convention Bricking Bavaria 2023. I just finished it two days before the event and assembled it for the first time all togehter and was thinking like: yeah maybe it would be cool to have some nice pictures of it. So I called a friend who brought a light and we took the pictures late at night and the next morning I put everything in the car and went to the convention.

this is really cool - I love the castle. And the moving parts are so impressive. Cool to see them integrated to a castle build :-). I feel like the pictures will never do justice to this amazing build and I wish I could have seen it in person. So many details to spot! Nice work :-)

what a cool build! The light works so well and adds a lot to it. did you just put a lamp behind it when you took pictures? oh and just looking at the windows one could easily miss the nice mosaics on the floor. great job on this scene!

The stonework is really cool. I like that you used brackets instead of travis bricks so that the walls meet nicely in the corner and don't have that half plate offset. And you have many nice details on such a small footprint. Nice work! Keep it up :-)

Book III - Challenge 11: Trading Posts - Winners Announced!
Simon_S replied to soccerkid6's topic in Guilds of Historica
Congrats! That was a cool contest. I liked the theme of it and it was fun to build. btw a cool fun fact: the first time I built something for the guilds was around 2012 for the commerce challenge - which had a very similar theme to this one. I found the topic of it: for me it was fun to look through the builds we did back then. Maybe it will bring back good memories for you too… or if you‘re new in the guilds its fun to see how long this thing is already going on 🙌🏽🥳 -
[Freebuild - GoH 11 Overdue] Ore trading post

So cool! The build looks very mitgardian. The roof going down all the way to the ground works really well. As feedback I think it would have been cool if the detailed stonework continued all the way under the roof. That of course would require to make the roof a stud or a half stud longer, so that the SNOT tiles would fit under it. Your trees look really good. I especially like the birch trees. And what really makes this build special for me is the creative and funny story. I love the idea and the huge fat pig looks so cute! Great work! Keep it on! -
Cool build! The brickbuilt cows are cute and the stalls are also nice. And the birch trees work well. Brick on!

That's a pretty cool build and it's nice to see a GoH build from you ! I love the use of that star wars animal. What a cool idea! I actually have no idea how this beast is called or where it comes from... is it even from star wars? The hut looks also nice. Brick on!

Very cool build! It all works so well together - the roofs with the wooden and even with the green sections. The green is a nice choice and I think it's so mitgardian... it's beautiful! I also like the brickbuilt arch. The rope is a great touch to indicate that there is more going on under the building. As feedback I would suggest to add more thematic stuff to it. Right now, the only things that show that it's a mine are on the ground floor. And everything above are just normal houses... well, not normal houses. Very very cool houses . Maybe a sign with pickaxes or something like this would add some of that "mine feeling" . Anyway, this is a really nice MOC! Brick on!

haha thanks for the kind words :-). I think many people somehow missed it online but it's not that bad because I built it first for the convention and posting pictures of it online was just the second cool thing to do with it.

Nice build! Is this your first build for the guilds? I don't remember seeing any of your works before. If it is: Welcome to the guilds! I like how many animals you put in this cute build. As feedback I'd suggest to use different kind of parts for the water and the way. Having both built out of 1x1 round plates makes them kinda look too similar... maybe make the water out of tiles or put some tiles and plates on the way? Brick on!

Oh wow, I love how colourful this is. You put so many different colours in such a small MOC - great job! The different vibrant colours work well together. And using white as accent in every house really helps to keep the whole build together. Nice build! Brick on!

GoH 11: Tranquil tasting [Dandelume, Avalonia]

There are many cool things in this :-). I also love the chairs. And the pottery that fell down is a nice touch! The door is also nice with the rollerskates in it. As feedback I would love to see better pictures of this. Maybe take it outside next time on a cloudy day? Right now the picture feels very grainy and you almost can't see details like the rollerskates in the door - which is sad, because you put a lot of work in it. And also in that nice textured wall ;-). I don't want to know how long that took hehe. Nice build! Keep up the cool work!- 13 replies

This is so cool! Many nice details. As Kai said - the dome technique is really cool. And the colours work well together. And I love how you used white details to bring some contrast to the large tan walls. Great job! Brick on! Btw. do you collect als these Barqa MOCs and show us one day the whole city? Or did you break down the lighthouse to build this one?
