  1. Updated with the official render of the Old West Train. Another good year shaping up for Trains fans!
  2. It's possible. I think the main hiccup would be that LEGO has pushed 'modern/green' tech for their City line and would bristle at inserting a steam locomotive and historic cars into the theme. (One can hope though!)
  3. The piece count is lining up with the Arctic Express being an actual train. Themed train sets (Police, Fire, Military, etc.) have been a thing for a long time in model railroading and its kind of surprisingly that LEGO has taken so long to jump on the band wagon.
  4. I am confident that LEGO's bottom line is not greatly affected by the sales of the Trains theme.
  5. New submission guidelines. New rules also ban modular-style buildings, so the Brick Cross station slipped in just in time. "Avoid highlighting fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas (e.g. depicting refineries, fuel storage or gas stations). It’s acceptable to showcase historical methods of transportation that rely on fossil fuels (e.g. steam locomotives). Modern vehicles need to adhere to this guideline, therefore the propulsion method should be ambiguous if it is not a sustainable power source."
  6. Has anyone integrated the new train shed into their layout yet?
  7. The overall Cup car design looks good, but I can't get over how small the roof and door numbers are. Fingers crossed for a third-party sticker pack.
  8. Crowdfunding for the next round of BDP sets starts in less than 24 hours! https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-2/main.page
  9. The Next Gen Cup Car is a must-have for me. It might end up being a William Byron/Hendrick Motorsports tie-in.
  10. A reminder that we are under four days to go until crowdfunding opens for the next round!
  11. Official renders and pricing released for the next wave. The Brickcross Station is a must have for me. https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-2/main.page
  12. It's great to see more Trains representation in the latest wave! I was pulling for some of the others over the western train, but I do understand why this could be a hot seller.
  13. The 0-6-0 is a gorgeous model. If I could pick just one... that would be it.
  14. Crowdfunding for Series 1 begins in less than two days. Series 4 sets up for voting now with lots of Trains related submissions.
  15. Two weeks to go before crowdfunding begins on Series 1!
