  1. I know the ghost is very old, I was suggesting that maybe they were bringing it back Also, I didnt think it was a from a MOCer because the "Window into the community" section was in a different part with fireworks and stuff. also, i think the soldiers torso was found in a similar movie theatre set up as this. i could be wrong, just being hopeful i guess
  2. I went to the Lego Store in Downtown Disney over the New Year's holiday and came across some interesting piece. In my Flickr photostream, you can see a Harry Potter torso next to a person with Dumbledore hair, a ghost figure, and new colored castle helmet pieces. Also, the guy with the number 1 on his back with the red marks looks new to me. Are these hinting at possible new sets/aspects of current themes? Time will tell. Harry Potter Torso Ghost Helmets
  3. This set will always hold a special place in my heart. Every year for my birthday my dad would take me out and let me spend up to 50 dollars for my present. I couldn't have been more than 7 when I got this set, I was so happy that my dad budged from the 50 dollar rule. I dont remember picking it out in the store, I dont remember building it, I just remember being so happy I was allowed to spend 60 dollars for this set. I had so much fun playing with it until one day my sister accidentally stepped on it. I asked my dad and brother to help rebuild it but for some reason it never happened...that is until I got into re-construction mode a few months back and this was a set high up on my list to restore. I had most of the pieces but still need to look for a few and then was gonna do a review of the sets (I have every set except for Deep Freeze Defender) but this review is excellent. Well done, thanks for bringing me back to my childhood!
  4. My 2 cents: i think the picture in the bottom set is a variation of a truck stop. Its not an elevated track, theres a rounded part on the left most side that meets another red piece, this intersection is at too weird of an angle to allow a train to navigate from one section to the other. Also, if you look at the box art for the passenger train, it doesn't look elevated. Further, if that is in fact elevated track, why would they have a train station for passengers with regular track when the only train with regular track would be the cargo train? Makes little sense. Going back to the truck stop idea, the red in the banner looks like it could be the top of where gas pumps are. just my guess. Whether or not I'm right, I'm ridiculously excited about that new cargo train! Edit: Also with all the new trucks being released (Octan Tanker, the red one in the cargo train set, the yellow one behind the ladies head) it only seems proper to have a truck stop for them all
  5. On Targets website the Death Star is $319.99
  6. I went to Target at 1230 and waited in line until 5:00 when it opened. Of course I was there for a tv, but it seemed like everyone i passed had the Temple set, and a few had the Warship. Both sets went faster than I anticipated though. I also went to Toys R Us around 6:20 and they still had two of the agents sets left but not the Indy one. The agents boxes were crappy though - I lifted one and flipped the outer flap up and the whole thing came off. It was a zoo in there. I recommend never going there on Black Friday. Target was actually rather nice.
  7. Also, eToys.com is having 15% off LEGO. I don't know how legit the website it is. I have heard of them before but I have never bought anything from there. The prices seem to be pretty consistent with other retailer prices.
  8. I dont think this has been posted yet: Vader's Tie Fighter is available for $20 at Target from now until Wednesday.
  9. I was just looking online at some Black Friday ads; Target is having the Troll Warship and Temple of the Crystal Skull on sale for $49.99 on black friday.
  10. Yeah, TRU's prices have gotten pretty bad. Thats where I always used to shop for my LEGO as a kid. But nowadays not so much. I only go when they have good sales like this, and they rarely have anything clearanced. The last good clearanced item I saw was the viking army set, I didn't get it and I regret that now.
  11. I went out to Target last black friday down in florida. id say it was anywhere from 10-12 am and it wasnt too bad. the lego section was sparse, but i went in for dvds and video games, and they had plenty of those, so i was happy. like everyone else said, u have to find out what sales are going to be in place, and decide where you want to go and what you want to get
  12. I did explain to the employee at the second TRU what happened but she said I need to buy another set. I was just trying to give a fellow LEGO enthusiast a suggestion for a set he wanted, as were the other people before me. Was it deceitful? Yes. Is it the best solution? Probably not. I'm sorry. I have never stolen a thing in my life nor will I ever have the cojones to do so. Bottom line is I made a suggestion, it clearly was not well received, and I am sorry. I apologize to the person I offered the suggestion to, TRU, LEGO, Alice and everyone else I may have offended. I want no trouble, I love these forums and want to continue to do so peacefully. I hope we can move on from this and continue to talk about the wonderful sales going on. Again, I apologize. Sincerely, Moose
  13. Hey, no need to get all nasty alice, I was just recommending an easier solution than others were posting (which involved scamming both TRU and the lego store, I just cut out the lego store). Trust me, I am greatly appreciative of these sales, it's how I got my first ever pirate ship! And now that the tractor is potentially free, you can bet your bottom dollar I'm going to the store to spend $30 on other sets to get it. I'm not scamming anyone, it was TRU who scammed me when I went there on Tuesday and bought my ship and didn't get the free brick. So I had to go buy another set at a different TRU just to get it. So actually, I spent more money than necessary trying to get the special brick, which seems to me to be the opposite of scamming. So I'd appreciate it if you didn't jump at me so quickly next time. Hopefully there won't be an ill feelings between us in the future. I apologize if I upset you.
  14. why dont you buy the one from TRU, get your free set, take it home and then return it. or, since you cant drive and ur mom wont want to go to TRU twice in a week, ask her to go to TRU, buy it, get ur free tractor, go out to stores or something right near TRU, and in an hour or so go back and return to a different employee, this should work.
  15. I was never too crazy about the indian aspect of this series, but the rest were awesome and could have been expanded upon greatly. Consider this my signature
