  1. Yes, that would be great.
  2. I have had the goal of building an ES44 in BNSF colors for some time. I haven't worked on it since last winter. On seeing Legoman666 build on his ES44, it has gotten me interested in getting one built. I am stumped on how to build the rear of the locomotive. The grill pieces and the multiple angles have me scratching my head. Does anyone have any good pictures or an LDD of this area? Thanks, Scott
  3. It's looking great. I look forward to seeing the finished product.
  4. Awesome !! This locomotive is one I want to build at some point.
  5. Dan, Thanks for your input. Looks like I have a couple of options.
  6. I guess I did not explain completely. The new style train magnets are pinned to the buffer. I was wondering if it was possible to separate the two without breaking them. And if they can be separated, has anyone mounted the magnets to a custom built truck. The older 9V style magnets and holders are getting expensive and I was wondering if there were any options. Thanks, Scott Dan, Thanks for your reply. I just purchased enough parts off bricklink to build two of your bulkhead flatcar designs. I was wanting to try this for these two cars- if it is possible.
  7. I was wondering if it is possible to disassemble the new train buffers and mount the magnet similar to the older 9 volt magnets? I did a quick search, but could not find any info on this. Is it even possible? Thanks, Scott
  8. I like this set too. The added track is a bonus. It will be interesting to see if you can add PF components without doing too many mods.
  9. I like the caboose. I really like the trucks. What pieces did you use to build these. Also, what is the part number of the white tubing that you used for the curved handles? I am designing a wide vision caboose and would like to use this design feature. Thanks, Scott
  10. Hi. I finally registered for this site after been reading the topics here for about 6 months. I have an interest in trains. I was in the planning stages of building a HOn3 layout in my basement. However after a trip to New York City and visiting the Lego store there and seeing other Lego based displays( USS Intrepid and Rockerfeller Center), I changed directions. I now want to build a Lego train layout. Since then, I have picked up the Cargo train, the Maersk set, and some more track. I have a small track layout on a 4'x8' sheet of plywood now, but want to build a bigger layout in the future. I just wanted to say hi and I look forward to being part of this group. Thanks, Scott
