About Me
Hello! I'm Admiral Croissant. I live in the Netherlands, quite far away from Amsterdam, but one can get in Amsterdam within a few hours from every other place in Holland, so also from where I live
I'm currently studying history and I don't know what to do after it, though it will probably be related to history.
That's also why I like the pirates forum, and especially sailing ships of the Napoleonic era. I'm also making wooden and plastic ship models and drawing them.
I also like to make some silly movies and edit them on the computer, and I don't have a specific taste when it comes to music. I listen mainly to the older stuff (60's, 70's) but also to recent music. I like rock, blues, folk, country and more. Those are my hobbies (next to things like going out, computer stuff, watching movies and cruising), and I also like sports. Currently I'm rowing in a "C4", prior to that I've been ice skating, playing soccer, swimming, cycling, skating, "kaatsen" (=local sport) and playing judo.
On to classic-pirates.com. I started as a "Pirate Editor" and in April 2011 I became "Pirate Regulator", which means my tasks are "regulating the pirate forum, weeding out the rotten apples and maintaining the Rum supplies" Especially the last point is very important. And currently I'm a Pirates Moderator.
In recent years I've mainly worked on my French 20 gun frigate Vesta. Especially the rigging took me a lot of time (about 3 months, but of course not working on it every day), as I wanted it to work and look close to the rigging of a real ship. It's currently on display at the Frisian Maritime Museum.
I also like customizing although I'm not very good at it yet. I made this mutilated sailor and these minifigs.
