  1. Nice MOC. Is this an entry for the Expand the Winter Village Contest VI? If so, let me know so I can fix the title of the thread.

I can only assume the picture was taken by L@go at an occasion where the set was shown, so I don't see how this is comparable to someone uploading his picture to their own flickr stream. I also don't quite understand why you seem to feel the need to intervene in an issue that has been handled in a very polite manner by both sides and try to derail a thread in the process. I say case closed and let's get this thread back on topic.
  3. To answer a couple of questions: every member of EB is free to enter, irrespective of where you're from. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide what constitutes an addition to the Winter Village line. We rely on people voting for creations that they see as a fitting addition to the line. You shouldn't have asked. If it's obviously an illegal connection, it might deter people from voting for it. Personally, I think the challenge of LEGO is to work around problems and avoid illegal connections.
  4. Still contemplating entering the Expand the Winter Village Contest? Maybe a sneak peek at this year's prize pool will get your creative juices flowing. The contest closes at the end of 2015 (31 December, midnight, GMT), so get MOCing and get your entry in on time!
  5. No, sorry. I don't have the time to keep this up to date. I just unpinned it because it seems it's no longer updated. It'd be nice if someone kept it up to date, but I don't think anyone can just take over that map either.
  6. Stinky, the member who was maintaining this thread, has not logged on for 6 months, so I'm unpinning this thread. It's still easily accessible through the pinned Community index.
  7. The rule is in place to stop people from recycling old MOCs. As long as it's a recent MOC, first posted online after the start of the contest, I don't see the harm in modifying your creation to fit the theme of the contest better.
  8. As others have said already, the home of the Modular Buildings is the Town forum and there's a thread covering exactly what you're trying to do here. You can continue the discussion there if you wish.
  9. Because of the "theme" it doesn't really fit the rest of the Winter Village series. However, it shouldn't be too hard to modify it and enter it in the competition.
  10. Christmas presents from Denmark under the tree.
  11. The 2016 City sets can be discussed in the main discussion topic, so I'll lock this one.
  12. Welcome to Eurobricks. If you're entering this for the Expand the Winter Village contest, I'm afraid I have to disappoint you as the rules state that we do not accept digital entries. However, I'm sure we're all interested in seeing bigger pictures of your creation. Eurobricks does not host images. The limited amount of upload space you get is for your avatar. Please use an image host such as flickr for your images and see this topic for how to embed pictures in posts on EB.
  13. Eurobricks member JanetVanD makes quite the impression with her latest MOC: a 57,992 piece model of Her Majesty's Theatre in London. And for those who think the size of the MOC means there is hardly any interior detail... check out the pictures in the Town forum.
  14. Posts in the Community forum are not included in your post count as we've had people posting a lot there just to increase their post count in the past. That probably explains the difference in posts. We, very rarely, set people back in post count if they are only posting, for example, to be allowed to post in the Buy, Sell, Trade forum (you can't start new threads there until you've reached 100 posts).
  15. Who knows. Nope, just a plain background. The idea of that rule is to not allow any background effects, drawn or digitally rendered. Whatever TLG does in official sets is fine. Nope. For voting we typically do impose that restriction though.
  16. Your choice, as long as it fits in with the Winter Village sets so far. Check out the entries for other years to see the types of creations people entered.
  17. TLG uploaded official images of some of the 2016 City sets to their server. Check them out in the Town forum.
  18. No idea why your PM access was disabled, but it undoubtedly has something to do with your earlier account problems. It should be fixed now.

    10251 Brick Bank

I wrote a post about a possible new SNOT brick on the Dutch LowLUG forum. I thought I also made similar remarks here, but it seems I didn't. I also came to the conclusion that it must be the new element o0ger refered to above. No, but they probably get introduced in other 2016 sets and are therefore available for the new modular building as well. An example from last year's Detective Office were the scissors that were also included in 2015 Elves and Friends sets. Now that I think about it, one exception springs to mind. The mirror element from Detective's Office has not made an appearance in other sets.
  20. There's no real way to tell without pictures, but I don't think it should be too hard for you to benchmark it against the Winter Village sets released so far.
  21. I don't think sticker sheets are considered "parts" in this sense. So, yes, you can make your own decals, even if they're made from original LEGO stickers.
  22. Read this pinned thread.
