Niloc Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) I was thinking about spaceships (the major ones) that would appear in some of my stories (ones I'd like to build have stars on their name like: **1st Leader**) and decided to get them a small background - name, rank, purpose, etc. - on a list. And then, I had an idea to make a KG Fleet Index to put every ship I'll build and more!! I thought If you guys wanted to jump in, we could (re)name existing ships, make up new ships, new branches, modifications and share opinions about everything (including some of my very ugly names ) to build up KG's Fleet. It's about our Corporation after all! We have to shape it! We can build it together! Here's the first version: -------------------------------------------------- -- KAWASHITA GROUP FLEET INDEX -- Hierarchy ----------------------------------------------------- Name ---------------------------------- Appears In… CEO Division - **Kawashita Capital Ship** ------------------------------ “Neo Osamu” The colossal city-scale ship grows as the heart of KG's activities in the Andromeda system. - Development Ship (Illegal Protocols) ----------------- “Sun Mi-Dora” - Administrative Ship ("Military" Program) ------------- “Raijiin” ------------ Mining Division ------------- [Executive Frigate] --------------------------- “Lord of Onix” -------------------- Awesomnium Freighter -------------- "Aian Sai" This Liberty Rhino-Class starship is specialized in heavy hauling of minerals. -------------------- Biomass Transportation Ship ------ “Reach” -------------------- **Refinery Ship** --------------------- “Nostromo IX” ------------ Colonial Division ------------- [Executive Frigate] ------------------------- “New World” ------------------- 1st Class Frigate --------------------- "The Collition" A transport vessel that can carry about everything: explorer supplies, resources, or be used to colonize. ------------------ **1st Class Ship** --------------------- “Guardian” ------------------ 2nd Class Ship ------------------------ “…” --------------------------------------- Marcus Log 1 ------------------------- Sub-2nd Ship ------------------- “Kinkolith” ------------------------------- Marcus Log 1 Background ------------------ 3rd Class Carrier Ship --------------- “…” ------------ Exploration Division ------------------- **1st Class Amphibian Ship** ------ “Infinity” ------------------- 2nd Class Embassy Ship ----------- “…” ------------------- 3rd Class Museum Ship ------------ “Masamune” ----------------------------- Arariel W. (Mantis) Log Pride of the fleet, this vessel countain the rich history of the Kawashita Group and many more treasures. ------------ Technology Division ------------------ Robotic Research Ship ------------- “…” ------------------ Scientific Research Ship ----------- "..." ------------------ Medical Frigate ----------------------- “…” ------------------ **Warp Taxi** -------------------------- “Soringo Shot” Its sole purpose is to carry ships and other vehicles unable to achieve interstellar travel. ------------ Engineering Division - - - Descriptions and updates to come - ------------------------------------------------ By the way, if you ever want to build a ship (mini, micro or macro) out of this list or make a new one, it would be great! We could include it in the Index (and include its appearance). I'll try to keep the index updated somewhere. Anyway, you don't have to agree with this list if you don't want to. It's not official or anything. It's just for some story background; it's fun! At the very end of the game (?), I'll try to put all of the listed ships together to make the KG Fleet whole again! What do you think? May the Fleet Prosper! Edited June 6, 2015 by Niloc Quote
narbilu Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) Nice idea Niloc, My frigate is called the Collition. The first part I finished, but it will be a few months before it will appear out of cloaking. The Collition is a transport vessel, which can carry about everything. Explorer supplies, resources or be used to colonize. 1st class colonization frigate... The Collition Put it on the list... Edited June 3, 2015 by narbilu Quote
Col. Brik Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Pilot Col. Brik reporting for duty as a member of the Kawashita group. As I have just reached the galaxy I will do my best to familiarize myself with it. More background regarding myself will come as I get to know the members of the group that will rule this galaxy. I will say, as I entered I first made contact with NuckElBerg who showed me the virtues of joining Kawashita. Quote
narbilu Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Good for you, welcome to Kawashita. We are a proud group, I will enter you in our log system Tomorrow. If you have any time, missions are to Greater Direstan before tomorrows end. Quote
Col. Brik Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 (edited) My skills are not good as most in the galaxy but my commitment to the group won't waiver. I will do my best to get to Greater Direstan in the coming hours...(I am no where near the builder as those in this group or the others in AG. I joined to challenge myself to become better, have some fun and hopefully come up with some cool builds in a group that has cool lore and color combos.) Edited June 6, 2015 by Col. Brik Quote

narbilu Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Perfect... I'm proud of the files reported by our loyal Kawashita members Quote
Niloc Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Narbilu-sama, the Second branch colonial fleet has arrived on Greater Direstan in one piece: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=110461 (I'd like to link the image, but I don't know that skill yet) Quote
EpsilonEta Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 We continue a discussion about consistent look on some of the planets in this public thread. I tested replacing the brown parts for white in my WIP build to correspond with mccoyed's trees. I don't really like it (They look the “mushrooms” in Tintin and The Shooting Star) The white trees can grow more inland. I would like to join the planet bandwagon, but I only have a few bricks in red color (especially plants). You can build in the water, mountains or indoors (or just use LDD) if you don't have enough plates to cover the ground and make some brick built plants. Maybe even the plants get green in the autumn NO, we wont give Octan white threes with red and green leafs Quote
mccoyed Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I think having the grass be a contrasting color would maybe be better. As is, it looks like those red vines from War oft he Worlds have taken over the planet haha. I definitely think the creative parts use is a great idea, though. Quote
Commander Beltar Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) I love the idea of red trees for Lesser Direstan! Though, I used white instead of brown, I don't have enough types of brown parts for it. Anyways, tell me what you think of these trees! The rightmost one reminds me of a bonsai tree. If you were into PAB a couple years ago you'd probably have a billion red flowers like me. Seriously. I still have like 50 left more in a bin. + like 200 more grasses to go with them but I never found a good use for 'em. If you want to view some close ups, click here. (Takes you to my flickr album) ~Beltar Edit: Just realized the pics don't do them much justice, they look far better in the real world. But by the time I take photos of the build, I will hopefully have a better camera! Edited June 9, 2015 by Commander Beltar Quote
Niloc Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 With big white trunks, they do look like mushrooms... But with small white trunks they look very nice! @ Commander Beltar: From the left, the 1st and 3rd (are these bionicle minifig legs!?) ones are the best IMO. I thought I would also share a WIP of alien landscape, would it inspire anyone or just for opinions: They're giant vertical rocks sculpted by ancient rivers and strong wind, as sharp as blades and filled with Awesomnium (one is broken and Aw is poking out). The blue isn't intended to be water, but it does look like it. What do you think? Quote
Zepher Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I'm also working on red and white plants, though they're not as nice as your's, Beltar. Quote
mccoyed Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 If you guys don't have the tree-like pieces in white, a good alternative is 1x1 blocks in white, along with 1x1, 2, or 3 slopes (inverted and otherwise). You can make similar tree-shapes pretty easily and just do something else for leaves. Quote

The 1st and 3rd are my favorites too, but the bonsai tree is a really close 3rd. As mccoyed said there are alternatives if you don't have certain parts. I have absolutely no red plant parts other than flowers, so I improvised, basically, just look in a bin of random red parts and thinner white parts, and hopefully you will soon have a tree! Oddly enough...these are actually the first good trees I've ever built. ~Beltar Edit: I really need to double check my typing before I hit post... Edited June 10, 2015 by Commander Beltar Quote

Ecclesiastes Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Thanks for the welcome guys. Hey, Ecc, did it ever occur to you, the thought: "Why is your name the same as a Bible character?" I'm well aware of the name I"ll try to take part in as much challenges as possible. For the first one I've made a start already: Sentrie mode: Now I need to pick a planet to go to. Any suggestions? PM-group? Quote
Mike S Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 (edited) I"ll try to take part in as much challenges as possible. For the first one I've made a start already: Now I need to pick a planet to go to. Any suggestions? PM-group? That WIP will work for a freebuild like on Lesser Direstan for this week but not for the challenge. Challenge build must not contain player's character... Rules All rules in the General Rules thread apply unless otherwise. Players and corporations will earn credits, resources and domination points according to the players' score. The three corporation's goal is to depict their members "first sight" of the planets they have access to, representing either fauna, flora or the environment/landscape. Entries must only show natural environment, players' character must not be represented in the build. There is a size restriction of 24x24 studs, minimal overhang allowed. The challenge will run from May 25th to June 21st. As long as it is still June 21st somewhere in the world, you can still enter. Entries posted after the deadline will be disqualified from the challenge and will not be scored. Entries will be judged according to the General Rules. A corporation score is calculated by adding 0,25 points for each of its players to the average of their scores. This challenge is open to all players of Andromeda's Gates, even if they joined EB or signed up for the game after the challenge has begun; the Andromeda's Gates staff, EB admins and moderators are not eligible to win prizes but may earn credits. All entries must be new creations, not posted anywhere else prior to being entered in the challenge. You may be asked by a staff member to change your entry if it is too similar to an earlier creation. All entries must be built from real LEGO or with Lego Digital Designer. No clone brands, no third-party custom parts. All entries must be posted as a new topic in the Andromeda's Gates subforum, the title prefixed by, "[Challenge 1]". (For example, "[Challenge 1] Farmoli's plains".) Post pictures no larger than 1000x720, as specified in the EB Member Guidelines. You may do a 'full-blown photo edit' with all the text, effects, background compositing, support erasing, and other effects onone picture. All your other pictures may have no editing other than color adjustment or background removal for a solid-color background. For obvious reasons, any photo editing that changes the shape, functionality, or color (not tint or adjustment, but actual color) of a LEGO piece is prohibited. All entries are considered WIPs (Works In Progress) until the deadline passes. Until the deadline has passed, you are allowed to change and improve your MOC. Edited June 11, 2015 by Mike S Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Hmmm. I probably misinterpreted it as not using your main character. So I suppose it comes down to no minifigs at all than! Quote
