DrJB Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) Lately there seems to be an abundance of excellent MOCs (with instructions) that many on here have built. I'm just trying to get a feel as to how many of such MOCs were actually built and what are the most popular ones. If I were to 'divide' the MOCs in groups I'd go like this: 1. Cars/SuperCars - Typically require flex axles (which are in short supply) 2. Trucks - No need for flex-axles, but typically very large part count 3. Everything else. I have personally built the following: 1. Crowkillers Murcielago 2. PG52 Spirograph 3. Madoka's SUV Mk 1 4. D3K's SwingLoader Mk 2 5. CanAm Spyder (do not recall the author) 6. Many GBCs (Philo+Akiyuki) 7. Various Sequential GearBoxes 8. Mahjqa Tachikoma 9. Mahjqa Metal Grudge 10. Barman's Avatar Helicopter So, which MOCS have you built and intend on keeping displayed for some time? Edited July 5, 2015 by DrJB Quote
D3K Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) I don't keep anything built for long, but in the past I've built the following SECs (I think I'm going to stick to this one, Jim ) in no particular order Ultimate 8043 by Jurgen Krooshoop Lamborghini Gallardo by Paul Boratko Pony Car by Nathanaël Kuipers Land Rover Defender 110 by Sheepo Small RC Yellow Race Car by Jurgen Krooshoop Supercar (the small one) by Madoca Lately. as I've become better at making my own creations, I haven't built many SECs, except for Madocas AWD SUV Mk 2, which I built in the holidays, just to do something else EDIT: I too made the Spirograph, and had a lot of fun with it! Maybe the model I kept built the longest (until I needed the parts for something else) Edited January 6, 2015 by D3K Quote

nerdsforprez Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Looks like I am kind of the odd man out. I keep everything I build. Yes, it does get expensive..... and moving is a pain in the rear but I like not just building but collecting too. Technic is easy to move, but other stuff is hard. I just completed a large diorama and I am scared as crap to move it, we will see how it goes. Because I am military, I move often. If this move does not go well then I will swear off all other builds and do just Technic. Of all the MOCs and MODs others have done, the only one I have built is crowkiller's vampire GT. I am currently working on Sheepo's Mustang, but it is taking a while as I have a little surprise I am working on. I want to power it with something other than PFs. Quote

Osuharding1 Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) 2014 was the year of building other people's MOCs for me. It was mostly due to the fact that it wasn't until August 2014 that we got any of the new Technic sets here in the USA. Regardless, I have built all of the MOCs below and reviewed them on my YT channel. Below are the MOCs I have built in 2014: Crowkillers: Chopped Hot Rod (x2 Red and Yellow versions) Muscle Car Porsche 997 GT3 Vampire GT Lamborghini Gallardo (x2 Red and Yellow versions) Phantasm Twin Turbo Nathaneal Kuipers: 42000 C-model Hot Rod Every one of the Creator Models from both of the Amazing Vehicles books Pony Car Madoca: 4WD Pickup Truck AWD SUV MKII RC Dune Buggy Trial Truck Corvette Tatra 813 Off-Road Pickup Truck Tomik: 42006 C-model Bulldozer 8052 C-model Forklift Truck Hedgie: Compact Convertible Kub0slaw: RC Sand Racer Buggy Jurgen Krooshoop: Sunbeam Corvette Gebra: 42022 Hot Rod modifications Thirdwigg: Octan F1 Race Car Nico71: Fully RC Quad 4x4 D3K: 6x6 Offroad Modular Truck Edited January 6, 2015 by Osuharding1 Quote
