February 16, 20169 yr I am looking forward to see the endeavors of another architect that have traveled the world for information inspiration
February 16, 20169 yr Welcome to Eurobricks, Fuzzy MacFuzz, and also welcome to BoBS and Corrington! Your intro sounds great and would truly make some excellent building material. After the suspense of the old faction poll I have to ask: "Oleon, Oleon, wherefore art thou, Oleon?" Edited February 16, 20169 yr by Captain Dee

I was going to choose Oleon when the poll was taken. When I read the faction descriptions, I decided I would rather be part of an orderly society than a nation run by secret societies etc. Alas I had to give up my blue outfits, sortof. I worked them in anyway.

February 17, 20169 yr Thanks for so many warm welcomes! I am now trying to post my first free build MOC. I believe I need to post the build in a new thread and then complete two registrations, one in the faction's freebuild thread and one on the monthly free build web form. The guidance says: 'The link to the freebuild thread and the webform will be in the first posts of your faction’s thread.' Where is this please?

Don't think that's the case for any of the factions! Free Build thread. Free Build form. So just post the build in its own thread and then follow the instructions at both those links! You might also want to post a picture in this thread so your fellow Corries can get a peek at your build and remember to check out the topic! The free-build thread is pinned to the top and the registration form is linked in the Master Index.

February 17, 20169 yr Thanks guys! Very useful advice and all sorted out now. Perhaps someone should change the published advice? It is near the top of the 'Rules' page under 'Freebuild': http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=118415 20160216_231049 by Chris Warburton Brown, on Flickr Above: Frederick Stephens accidentally becomes the first Westerner to witness The New Moon Ritual of Xaponteclan. Read the full story now! My first ever MOC! I was disappointed with how the photos came out, I would appreciate some tips. Edited February 17, 20169 yr by Fuzzy MacFuzz
February 21, 20169 yr Greetings fellow Corlanders! After some minor setbacks I have completed my first vessel for BoBS! Topic can be found here I will be licensing her, any suggestions on Class type would be most welcome in her thread - I was thinking 2F but fear she might be a bit small, although too big for a 1F?

(On another note, anyone who MOCs these forts will get the right to name them) Any way for Coyle Shipping Company to purchase one of the large forts if the company funds the renovation (builds the MOC)? I have a MOC in progress but I also would like to receive the monthly yield.
February 22, 20169 yr Author Mike, you can take ownership of one of the fort after MOCing it, it is registered already and ready to go. The crown would want some sort of guarantee that she will be upkept, and if the Coyle family go into retirement temporarily (prolonged absence) that the income goes back to the crown. Also, since the stipend is so high from this fort, and you would not have to pay the licensing fee, the Queen would like a donation of one year's stipend towards public works in Arlinsport. This does not have to be paid up front, but can be paid over time. The money will go towards our next fort system in the town. f this is a fair deal, then we will visit the notary and make the arrangements. Good think we have a notary in Arlinsport!

Maybe the queen will reward that person(s) *A report to Lord Erie Flynn, Governor of Port Raleigh My Lord, We are pleased to report that the troops have settled in and we have completed the construction of our first fort in the settlement. The merchant house known as the Emporium has rendered significant aid by providing the timber and carpenters required. A rotating shift system has been enacted so that at any one time, at least one platoon will be on full alert for twenty four hours. That said, there is very little to do in terms of recreation in a settlement so new, and the men are feeling rather uncomfortable under the humid climate of this island. While we expect no problems in terms of discipline with Her Majesty's finest, we fear that it might pose a challenge to maintain troop morale at its peak for weeks to come. As such, we have taken the liberty to rest the inactive platoons or assign them to light duties, as a manner of keeping unnecessary fatigue to a minimum. Respectfully yours, Lieutenant B.B. Bridgewater 107th Infantry
February 27, 20169 yr Author Updated the membership post, if you are not on it, please let me know! News from the homeland -- Recently Viceroy Oxley has taken up a partial retirement due to crucial affairs. No longer active viceroy of the seaborne colonies, he still holds the title honorarily. Governor Denear has been promoted to Undersecretary of the Viceroyalty and will be administering this position from his current position at Arlinsport. Now of greater value to her majesty, some of his smaller duties must be taken care of by subordinates. The Queen wishes to Offer Aiden Coyle the position of representative of Tiberia in the House of Representatives -- since this is a new position in the HOR, the Queen has the right to name its first officeholder as is custom in Corrington. If he so wishes to join this esteemed body, he will be appointed to undersecretary to the Minister of Trade, where he will continue his (current, and authorized) duties as trade organizer for her majesty's lands east of Belondia. This is a class 1 Government position, the stipend of which, should he wish to take it, will be determined in the next legislative session. This position should be administered from Arlinstport, with Coyle's representative in Belson relaying his vote.

Arlinsport, 27th February, 616 to Madam the Queen, Aiden Coyle presents his humble duty to your Majesty, and has the honour to report that he humbly accepts the position your Majesty has offered him. Seeing as the interests of the Empire of Corrington should be further fortified, I will decline the stipend until either the Empire's treasury is more than well padded or unfortunate circumstances require my need of it. February 29, 20169 yr So what are the potential names for the two new islands and aside from Quinnsville are there any plans to settle on these islands?
February 29, 20169 yr I was thinking of starting a settlement on the second island and get a mine going there. I don’t really have the bricks to build mangroves though, but I guess the bay in the Northwest or the one in the south are suitable because they’re the bit without mangroves?
February 29, 20169 yr I am curious to see your progression in those new Islands. Corrington has already a new settlement on one of the new islands and great projects to become ! Great ! May I ask a stupid question ?! Why did you Corries pick the Mangrove Island ? It has a rumor of a terrible disease there, no ? Am I wrong ? I am hopping you will make good use and profit with this island. (eyh... the profit of my friend is my benefice !)

March 1, 20169 yr Author I wondered about the selection myself for that very reason... but what is done is done. On another note, I am about to register the Dancing Dog tonight, she is big enough to be a Class 5 T, but Scarst and I only have enough cast for a 4 T 2, so we would love to bring on an investor at 100dbs for a 1/4th share. or two 50DB 1/8th Share. Since time is of the essence, and I am technically at work, I cannot draw up the ship terms, but they would be similar to what Bregir has written and were adopted for the Sulky. If you are interested, post here and send me the DBs right away. If only one person invests, with only 50DBs then I will refund their money before the night is over, so you have it back right away. This is open to any investors, but those of foreign origin should be aware that in the final contract, there will be a provision that gives us the right to buy you out at face value (50DBs or 100DBs) in case of war between our two nations.
