Captain Braunsfeld Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 (edited) Where was I with that strange story? Ah, right. The evil pirate Gisberth had captured Colonel Brickinson - who had turned out the be "The Black Moustache". Brickinson was imprisoned by the pirates, awaiting his fate. .... and now I need a lot of pictures to tell the story of "The Great Escape" ... Brickinson had found some strange drawing on the prison wall. About some way to move the bed he was lying on. It seemed like complete nonsense to him. While Brickinson was about to fall asleep in his prison cell... ... Gisberth was on the watch... When Brickinson awoke from his refreshing slumber, he found the pirates unconscious or missing... The key to the cells was lying on the floor and all the doors were open. It was all very strange. Brickinson rushed outside looking for the red boat but it was gone. Instead a rather large shark was mooring by the pier. The shark looked at Brickinson and Brickinson stared back. "This is madness" he thought, approaching the shark. The shark displayed no signs of hostility and so the absurd idea that had come up in Brickinson's mind manifested itself and called for action. So he boarded the shark. "Oh my goodness, no-one is ever going to believe this! I will have to tell everybody that I escaped by making a raft out of sea turtles!" "What a great escape!" This is a chronology of the events that happened before: Pirate A (distracted): Blimey, what bird is that? Can we eat it? Pirate B (distracted): Wouldn't make more than a mouthful. Pirate A: Beautiful plumage though. Pirate B: But it can't be the famous Norwegian Blue. This one is all yellow. [THUD] If we have ever learned one thing from adventure movies it is this: never (really:never!) turn your back while standing on guard. ... or you will be surprised by marine commando forces .. and before you can say "Ratzupaltuff" .. you will find yourself being attacked from all sides - and by all kinds of beasts: "Argh" Gisberth rushed forward to help his fellow pirate - but it was too late... .. there was nothing he could do: But wait! He had the strange feeling... ... that he was being watched from behind his back ... Yes! There was somebody behind him! But before Gisberth could turn... ... he fell into the water, disappearing. The key - found in the possession of Pirate B - came quite handy. And within a few moments... .. everyone of the commando forces had disappeared just as quickly as they had arrived. Using Shark ITM and the red boat. Only Shark IITM remained near the pier. And then Brickinson awoke. [First Speaker] How was your trip? [second Speaker] Successful. [First Speaker] Good. Have you been spotted? [second Speaker] No-one who has seen me is still alive. [First Speaker] Do we know where Brickinson is heading? [second Speaker] We can only guess. Here is the Simian-Plan storyline: 1 MRCA Result April & May: Sunk and Taken by Pirates 2 Has Brickinson gone mad? 3 The End of a Pirate 4 Visiting a Pirate Island 5 A Dream Within A Dream 6 Pirate Hunter King Archibald 7 Woe is me! 8 The Black Moustache and his Green Flying Dutchman 9 ... but I have signed the contract .... 10 Now, what have we got here ... 11 The Great Escape C&C welcome! (That was a lot of work...) Edited January 1, 2019 by Captain Braunsfeld (pictures now on Bricksafe instead of flickr) Quote

I was pointing out my favourite part...Everything else I was going to stay has already been said by someone else! Without resorting to plagiarism, I will have to limit myself to asking where the silver monkey is from! Humour like this coupled with a great MOC is making me seriously consider joining BoBS! After SHIPtember... Quote

After SHIPtember... understood! Feel free to join! And the silver monkey: is part of the new ninjago sets. But you have to replace the orange arms with decent silver ones (coming from some Hobbit-set). Quote

Captain Dee Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Hmm... I'm not totally sure if I can believe all this... some of it sounds, well... Believable or not, it's a great read, and you've done a good job illustrating the story. The marine commandos sneaking up on those scurvy sea dogs look hilarious to me. And the Shark I and II look like some serious transportation... where can I get one? Do they serve meals? Do they show movies? Good stuff. Quote

The sharks do actually show movies, but only if you are a first class passenger (and if you book three months in advance) Quote
