darkrebellion Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Thanks for the new pics JimboJones . The new AAT looks very promising and the new Yoda looks VERY detailed too . Hopefully it will cost around the same as the Magnaguard Starfighter .
Matteo Kenobi Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) Features flick missiles and a detachable speeder found on Target.com The AAT has a detachable speeder? Where, I don't see it...I wonder if it is just a Target typo or if its really there, that would be cool. Thanks for that Jimbo Jones! Edited November 8, 2008 by Matteo Kenobi
halomaster96 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) I noticed that the side guns on the AAT are flick-fire missiles . Also the Features told me two things: 1. There is no chance of an interior. 2. It may include a CIS stap speeder. P.S. Thanks for the link, it looks like a great set. Edited November 8, 2008 by halomaster96

Oky Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) Yeah, thanks for the link, dude! I like that Yoda has hair... Makes him look the more accurate. I might end up liking this CW Yoda better than the old one after all. The AAT also has the new Pirate spyglass in the piston thingy in the back... They're showing up everywhere, aren't they? Good eye! I really like that piece, so I'm happy we're getting it in different colors! These seem to be black. I hope we'll get these in silver or grey at some point; that would be so great for greebling! The AAT has a detachable speeder? Where, I don't see it...I wonder if it is just a Target typo or if its really there, that would be cool. Thanks for that Jimbo Jones! Hm, yeah, that's rather strange... especially since we haven't seen any speeder in any of the prelim pics. However, I can imagine that one could fit in the back or the under that big, hinged, smooth piece on top of the AAT. I hope it's a typo, though, since I'd rather have some interior. Either way, this set is turning out to be an absolute must-buy! Edited November 8, 2008 by Oky Wan Kenobi
JimBee Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) Thanks for the links, JimboJones. Unfortunately, I've noticed a couple of things on the pics: - The AAT comes with a good amount of figs: 3 SBDs with rocket arms, 2 battle droids, a clone trooper (with a long blaster rifle), and a cool Yoda. The only problem is that the battle droids arms aren't the twisted kind, and Yoda's lightsaber looks bley instead of pearl silver. Hopefully these are just mistakes, and the boxart shows the real thing. -In the TIE Advanced, Vader's new torso design is cool, but it looks like his lightsaber got demoted to bley or metallic silver rather than chrome. EDIT: I take it back about the lightsabers, Yoda's still looks pearl silver. However, on the box art of the TIE Advanced, it's hard to tell whether Vader is holding a chrome or pearl silver lightsaber hilt, but in the non-box pic, it looks pearl silver. Hopefully it isn't. Light Light Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) Right now I believe that if this so called speeder exists, its located in the center of the AAT, beneath that hinged cover. - The AAT comes with a good amount of figs: 3 SBDs with rocket arms, 2 battle droids, a clone trooper (with a long blaster rifle), and a cool Yoda. Oky Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 The only problem is that the battle droids arms aren't the twisted kind Oh no, you're right! I hate this kind of BD. Why, TLG, why? If they are supposed to be pilots, at least give them a blue torso, dammit!

I find it strange that they would add a speeder to the AAT set. As OWK said, we haven't seen pics of such a thing. So I highly doubt it. Thanks for the links, it's always good to have a zoom-feature when looking at pictures.
ADHO15 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Great find JimboJones! I love the new Yoda and the tank looks excellent. There may be space under the hinged, curved piece on top for the second battle droid and a door at the back for a STAP or speeder.

I can clearly see an interior look right in front of the big gun some hinge pieces. Great find as well the Yoda head doesn't look to bad but the robes do. I can't see any flick fires either. pedro Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Cheers for the link! That AAT looks better all the time. I can clearly see an interior look right in front of the big gun some hinge pieces. Great find as well the Yoda head doesn't look to bad but the robes do. I can't see any flick fires either. From the images it seems to me that is does has a hinged, opening cockpit. I'd imagine theres a similar opening for a STAP at the back - if one is included. Hmmm, how nasty would it be if the STAP came out the front?! The side guns look like they could be flick-fire to me - you can see a small dark bley spindle sticking out the back of the guns which could be the back of the missile. Either way, I don't mind

simonjedi Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 The AAT has a detachable speeder? Where, I don't see it...I wonder if it is just a Target typo or if its really there, that would be cool. Thanks for that Jimbo Jones! I think it is a typo, if there was a speeder TLG would normally show it. BUT there is a battle droid unaccounted for on the list of minifigures on the boxbox
darkrebellion Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I think the speeder is possible so here is my theory about it: I think the TLC include an speeder but one with a "cockpit" styled controls so when you have the speeder attached at the back of the AAT you can open the canopy and look the actual interior but then you can close the canopy and take off the speeder from the AAT so you can have a lot more playability. This second one cause that when you open the canopy you are going to see an empty space if the speeder is off.
Oky Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I really don't think that the rumored speeder is a STAP because it would never fit inside the AAT with its long, transparent stand. And have you ever seen one without a stand? Of course not, because the whole STAP is built around that stand, so it would be hard to remove it in order to fit it inside the AAT. Besides, if it were an STAP, why would TLG hide it from us? They would show the second BD riding it along side the AAT in the attempt to attract people to buy the set even more. No, since it's hidden, it's probably something insignificant like Darth Maul's speeder in the Sith Infiltrator that is only shown in a small pic on the back of the box. All of the droid pilots have those arms to fit in the cockpit. Yes, I know, but why doesn't TLG give them blue torsos for crying out loud?
Derek Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I heard that TLG is going to replace star wars with code lyoko.CODE LYOKO ON!!! I also heard that Code Lyoko isn't worthy of a Lego liscense and this is never going to happen! STAR WARS ON!!!
Oky Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) I heard that TLG is going to replace star wars with code lyoko.CODE LYOKO ON!!! Very funny, you jerk. You need some kind of credibility to post rumors, especially obviously bogus ones like that! Keep it up, and you'll get banned sooner than you can say "Code Lyoko sucks". And whose name am I supposed to spell right? If you're refering to my EB name, it's not what you think it's supposed to be. Click here to understand it. I JUST BOUGHT A CODE LYOKO SET TODAY. I hate to break it to you, but that must have been a cheap knock-off brand. PS: I have a good feeling of who you really are, Ulrich! I'm whatching you, buddy! Kitten ain't. *bleep* If you not stop offending the other members you are going to be banned so soon . Hogwash! Let him be banned, the bastard. If you look closely (here) at the near guns, you can see a black cone-shaped brick that are usually the 'heads' of the flick-fire missiles. It's just between the guns and the blue end of the 'arm'.
