General Armendariz Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 As you all know I LOVE Bluecoats, right? Well I have a dog and it seems he somehow go onto the table of my bluecoats and did this NOTE this figure was in great condition before this happened Every special piece on his is chewed up I having a heart attack right now! Has this ever happened to you? If so share with us. Now excuse me while I get on BL to buy another one Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Haha, the funny thing is that the most common part, the most common head around is the only part in top condition still! Unlucky Armendariz. Maybe you need a safe for your Bluecoats. Quote
Rick Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Luckily it's just one fig, but this looks horrible. There is a general topic about this - destruction by pets - though... (which I can't seem to find at the moment). Quote
mikey Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Obviously the worst thing happened to us all last week. But your pictures are exactly why I keep my cat segregated in another room if I have my Lego out. A warning to us all! Quote
kabel Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 i'm sorry, but i guess the only way to prevent further damage is to shoot your puppy! Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 You can still use him as a crippled soldier that just returned from a war I don't have a cat or a dog, but I used to chew on some lego part myself That's a long time ago so most of my lego (that I got later) is in a good shape. Quote
Destroydacre Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 There's a reason I only have cats. They may knock my Legos over from time to time (okay, all the time) but they never chew on them. However, my aunt's German Sheppard got a hold of one of my sister's HP sets and put a nick in one of the yellow goblets. When she visits, he doesn't get to go in the basement any more. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I have a dog as well, that's a major reason why my LEGO is upstairs. The dog chewed on a cannon, and it was trashed... A bluecoat is really too bad! Quote
Ryan_T Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 (edited) DAAAAAYYYYYYUUUUMMMMMM!! That dogs got some Pirattitude!! Sucks tho.. expensive Figs arent they? Maybe you could use it as a soldier that survived Gunshots and alot of shrapnel in the foot. Obviously the worst thing happened to us all last week. But your pictures are exactly why I keep my cat segregated in another room if I have my Lego out. A warning to us all! Ah... The dreaded... >.> "using LEGO as a litterbox" *shudders* I've have that happen recently.. caused me to bleach some silver knifes and stuff... well... if you bleach them... DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THEM!!! The silver almost came all off and now they are half clear plastic and half... A silvery mess! The Compass was ok.. Quite water tight they are.. Sir Wellington Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Thats bloody murder! I can't imagine how you feel. This is why I never liked dogs. Quote
Captain Genaro Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 See, even your dog thinks Redcoats are better . How horrible, such a good little lego why. Quote
MrTools Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Wow, i never knew dogs liked them so much, well i mean my dog runs away when i put lego near her. Look on the bright side, you could make a moc where he is hit by a cannon ball or smashed by a rock or sail Quote
Ryan_T Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Or maybe.. You can send him to me.. I don't mind a few broken figbones.. and yea.. I'm not joking. Quote
Legio XIII Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 This has happened to me. Once my dog destroyed a pith helmet, then an Indiana Jones minifig... Grr... Quote
Siegfried Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Well I can guess what side the dog is on in the whole Red Coat vs Blue Coat rivalry... Quote
General Armendariz Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 Haha, the funny thing is that the most common part, the most common head around is the only part in top condition still! Thats also what I hate, out of all the pieces it just had to be the head. When I saw him I was hoping he didnt have his hat on at the time Luckily it's just one fig, but this looks horrible. There is a general topic about this - destruction by pets - though... (which I can't seem to find at the moment). This isnt the first time! Once he chewed up one of my palmtrees and I only have 4! but I used to chew on some lego part myself That's a long time ago so most of my lego (that I got later) is in a good shape. How could you do such a thing? There's a reason I only have cats. They may knock my Legos over from time to time (okay, all the time) but they never chew on them. However, my aunt's German Sheppard got a hold of one of my sister's HP sets and put a nick in one of the yellow goblets. When she visits, he doesn't get to go in the basement any more. Just wait untill the cat turns on you I have a dog as well, that's a major reason why my LEGO is upstairs. The dog chewed on a cannon, and it was trashed... A bluecoat is really too bad! Why am I always the one with the worst luck? Thats bloody murder! I can't imagine how you feel. This is why I never liked dogs. I love dogs! You should too Wow, i never knew dogs liked them so much, well i mean my dog runs away when i put lego near her. You have a coward dog Or maybe.. You can send him to me.. I don't mind a few broken figbones.. and yea.. I'm not joking. In your dreams This has happened to me. Once my dog destroyed a pith helmet, then an Indiana Jones minifig...Grr... Its painful to see....Isnt it. See, even your dog thinks Redcoats are better . How horrible, such a good little lego why. Well I can guess what side the dog is on in the whole Red Coat vs Blue Coat rivalry... How is this possible? Dogs are colored blind! (Are they?) Quote
Eskallon Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Just today I was loking at some police helmets and what I saw was chew marks, luckily I had one spare haidden away. I haven't told her off and won't. Still you should always teach your dogs why lego and mouths is a bad thing. Try building a dog like the dog in lego, that would spook my dog out. Here is the dog destrution topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=32896 Quote
General Magma Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Wow, that looks horrible! I recommend you to check if your dog isn't a redcoat fan! ~General Magma Quote
SlyOwl Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Y'know, this could be used in the PTVII... e.g. Meet the surgeon! - Mangled troops get repaired! - Not particularly violent, permissible parts usage... Quote
Paul cantu Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Your dog is a Redcoat! I wonder where you went wrong. Quote
martinsuper Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Blue coats can survive anything, even massive animal attacks. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Why am I always the one with the worst luck? 1. You are General Armendariz 2. Perhaps it's god's revenge for a sin you've comitted in the past 3. You made your dog angry 4. You made my angry Quote
Ryan_T Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 In your dreams OH! so you didn't give him to me? oh.. It must have been a dream.. Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 What a great dog! I'd like to send him some milkbones as a reward. Seriously though I bet you find lots of creative uses for one chewed up soldier. Quote
Big Cam Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 That is most unfortunate! I would be greatly dissapointed if that happened. I have to play devils advocate though. Is it the dogs fault for chewing it up, or your fault for leaving it where the dofg can get it? I hope your not to hard on you dog, who has no idea he/she did sonething wrong. Quote
