KimT Posted October 24, 2009 Author Posted October 24, 2009 Enough of this Please stick with discussing LEGO and the upcoming waves of sets. What you'd like to see belongs in a different topic. How Boba looks isn't really important - TLG will do a design they find suitable. "Stay on Target!" Or prepare for a short timeout. Quote

filip skywalker Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Sorry About the yeti with taun taun horns does the yeti have holes to put the horns? I think it'll have a new mold. Yes, it do have holes to put horns. Quote
ADHO15 Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Sorry About the yeti with taun taun horns does the yeti have holes to put the horns? I think it'll have a new mold. The yeti mould does have two holes on the sides of the head (I think they're supposed to be ears). The tauntaun horns fit in them nicely to make a more accurate wampa. Hopefully, there'll be a new mould, though. Quote
yellost Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I didn't know you could put horns on the yeti's head... That's interesting. I might have to try and get one, now... But while the yeti is a nice fig, I think it strays too far from the original design to make a suitable official Wampa. The nose sticks out too much from its face. So I'd say a new mold would be pretty much a given. Unless of course, they decide to go with a brick built one, but somehow, I have my doubt over that Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Not a brick-built one! [faints] Quote
RileyC Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Its cool that you can put the horns on the yeti but I would rather have a new mold for him even if it pushes the price up a bit. Quote
Sajer Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I don't think the Wampa will be the size of Castle troll. More like the size of the new power miners rock monsters. The ones with flippy arms, not the king. That should be the correct scale, comparing it to the current Tauntaun. But i think its still a must buy set, if it does come out. Quote

A wampa face is flat while the yeti's face is pushed out. Oh well. We should get a new mold. Quote
Forresto Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Here's a link to what the yeti looks like with the taun-taun horns. link Made by our own SmokeBelch. Please don't hurt me for using your image. Quote
chris_austin Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Not strictly on topic but not off topic either and it was mentioned 10 pages back but hasn't been mentioned since so here is a picture: Tiles could be used in a Town/City MOC. Only available on StarWars.com as far as I know LINK The tiles are printed . Quote
Mission Commander Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 That came out at least a month ago, do we have confirmation on the rebel trooper helmets? Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 That came out at least a month ago, do we have confirmation on the rebel trooper helmets? The visual dictionary included on the last few pages pictures from a prototype of a new Hoth Rebel hat. Blurry pic from Commander 501: http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/attachment...mp;d=1254496300 I saw another one floating somewhere in the net, too, but I forgot where exactly. Besides, you can consider the summer 2010 sets that jedi-insider spoke about as real, because they were also right about them the last few years and a Wampa Attack without the victim of the attack (Luke, who would need a new mold as hat) would be plain stupid. No offense, but these pics have been floating around for about the last 5 pages. Please read a few pages back before you post. Thanks Now, back on topic. I think it would be great if these helmets were released. Considering the fact that they just came out with new helmets, I think the chances are unlikely. Quote
The Who Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 If, by chance we do get a Wampa Attack set, I hope the arms are removable, like the Yeti's are. They probably will/would be, since that would add to the playibility of the set. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 No offense, but these pics have been floating around for about the last 5 pages. Please read a few pages back before you post. Thanks He was not posting the pictures as news that he had found, he was answering Mission Commander's question about what is confirmed of the rebel helmet. He knew what he was doing. I'm sure clearer pics will come by soon, since most other themes now have official pics. Quote
CommanderFox Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 But I would rather have a new mold for him even if it pushes the price up a bit. Yes I agree, the Yeti is alittle old imo. And a knew mold would be very nice! The tiles are printed I think I'd buy that just for those tiles I'm sure clearer pics will come by soon, since most other themes now have official pics. I sure hope so! Can't wait for new and better pics! CommanderFox Quote
JCC1004 Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I sure hope so! Can't wait for new and better pics! Mr. M has a very clear pic from the book. I can't wait for pics that are clearer. We've already gotten the Landspeeder and the ARC-170. Quote
filip skywalker Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 That helmet is great! I hope it will be used in the Hoth BP! That ARC is fantastic! It's a clear must-buy for me! So is Palpatines shuttle and the CTT. I really hope Palpatines shuttle vill be a Theta-class shuttle and the CTT will include Bly & Aayla Secura. Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) I may have missed something but recently, at least by what I've seen, there hasn't been any new information on 2010 sets. As long as there is more info. by the end of November I'll be happy. EDIT: Browsing through wikipedia, I came across information about 8089 Wampa Attack. According to wiki, there will be a Wampa (hooray!), Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, who is a bit over-used in Hoth sets (I think he's already in three!) There is also a bit about 8097 Slave I. According to wiki, the set is 8097 Slave I and Carbon Freezing Chamber. I can't find any mention of this elsewhere on the Internet. Does anybody know where the information might have come from? It would be a pretty big let down if it didn't. There is also a bit about 8097 Slave I. According to wiki, the set is 8097 Slave I and Carbon Freezing Chamber. I can't find any mention of this elsewhere on the Internet. Does anybody know where the information might have come from? I think one of the Toys'R'Us competition entries (which the Home One set won) was a 'Slave I and Carbon Freezing Chamber' set. That might be where the author of that page got their ideas from. As we all know, Wiki isn't the most reliable source, so don't take it as fact that it will include some kind of Cloud City area just yet. Quote

Big Cam Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 While true, if you read up on Boba Fett, most of his scars and disfiguration came from when he was in the Sarlaac. I don't know from what point in time that drawing is supposed to be, but you could make the argument that it's Boba's appearance after escaping from the Sarlaac. If that's true then you could have a Boba Fett with a regular clone face as long as the moment in time predates ROTJ. What he said. Pre-sarlac pit, there is no way around what has been shown in the films. Quote
filip skywalker Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I dont think so, if this was also in the list. Wikipedia is the worst point for searching anything related to a toy. "tri-octupurama droid" Bettle droi" "1138" Well he sure picked a good number... Quote
