Riccardo_Lenny Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Dear all, Mostly I read, it is the first time I post. I own many RC and PF trains but my layout is boring without automatic switches, stop lights and lamps. As I started collecting PF and RC trains I don't know a lot about 12 V trains and related accessories so my question is: Can I use 12 V stop light, lamps, and switches for my RC/PF tracks? If yes, what do I need to make them working? Thank you all! Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I know they could be decoration but they wouldn't be able to stop the train at all. Maybe try using 9V train tracks, they may be useful. Quote
JopieK Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Why not? I have a working concept with Arduino / Atmel CPU. Search in the EB fora ;) You can have LED's for the signal and an IR led that sends a pulse to stop or enable a train. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 From the 12 Volts world you can use some lights... but you can find modern lamppost from this link Blokbrics link Quote
Riccardo_Lenny Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 Thanks for your answers. I found them very useful. Do you have more links like that one? I would like to know also more about arduino atmel. I want to make my layout as real as possible. Quote
