In the past couple months, I have discovered the joy of collection rare and prototype Brickarms. Now that I have collected a few, I thought that I should review them on the Brickarms Forums, so I made a review there, and now I am posting it here as well!

Olive Green SAR

This gun I did not acquire in a trade. When I made my first Brickarms order in 2008, this was my freebie that I received. The color is nice, and it goes with sand green pretty good. [in my opinion] However, other than sand green, it does not go with a lot of colors, and that is my theory of why Will doesn't produce weapons of this shade anymore.

OD green and trans clear Bazooka

Bazookas are one of my favorite BA guns, and I think OD suits this launcher well. It is GREAT for WWII MOCs, as OD green is the color that the real thing was produced in. Also, the trans clear one is good for sci-fi MOCs.

Urban Digi Camo

After seeing these on the forums, I realized that I needed some guns in this pattern for my collection. The guns go great with most modern minifigs, including Dino Attack minifigures.

Spetsnaz and Christmas Camo

Christmas camo was the first camo I received. It isn't my favorite, because it doesn't go well with a lot of minifigs, [pardon the Santa Claus'] so I guess this might be my least favorite camo pattern. However, it is great if you want it not to use on a minifig, but just for a collection. Spetsnaz is pretty cool, because it goes nice with Dino Attack minifigs because of the dark red on the torso and the gun.

Desert Camo

This is probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite camo. It goes great with a lot of minifigs if they have any shade of tan. I was surprised at how much I liked the M1 Carbine with camo printed on it.

Dirty Digital Camo

This is definitely my favorite camo pattern. My favorite shade of this pattern would have to be the desert shade because it looks like a mix of desert and normal digi camo. Lots of uses and cool colors is a pattern you can't beat. [yes Will, that IS meant as a challenge ;) ]

Golden Gun

Finally, we are onto the prototypes! The golden gun is a nice gun, and I'm glad I got it. However, because of the lack of uses, it is a gun that I would probably only buy 1 if this hit production. Like I said before, I am still glad I have this prototype because you can use it for spys and unique figures that you make up. [this weapon was based off of the 007 movie "The Man with the Golden Gun]

Short Shot Swirled V1 Longslide

This is probably the most unique Brickarms gun that I have. Besides it being a prototype, it is short shotted and swirled. This particular short shot is especially cool, because the scope is about 3/4 the size of a normal production longslide. Also, the barrel is a little shorter as well, although the barrel detailing is still there at the nose.

The Ray Gun

This is my favorite prototype that I currently own. It has more uses than any other gun that I know of. It can be used as a WWII wonder weapon, a steampunk themed gun, an alien weapon, or a gun of the future. I have been lucky enough to acquire 3 of these in trades. However, I was foolish and the tip of my bronze gun snapped off by attempting to attach a 2x2 dish to the nose of the gun. The dish got pushed farther down the nose, and when I tried to pull off the dish, the tip came along with it. :P

Double Printed Camo AC8

After contacting the Enigma that is Badger, I realized just what kind of gem I stumbled upon. He said that he's never seen another one like it! Now I did some looking around, and it turns out that a couple other people on flickr have one of these, but they got it personally from Will as a gift. Anyways, if you've never seen one before, this is a gun that has one camo pattern on one side, and a different camo pattern on the other. This pic is an example to see what camo is on the two sides. However, you can see a video of me flipping the gun right here.

So there you have it! Those are all of my current rares/camos/and protos. I am looking forward to expanding my collection. [particularly at Brickworld] Also, I want to note that these guns are top notch quality, and are even made with the same type of plastic as Lego. Thank you Will, for creating all of these great prototypes and camo, so people like me can collect them!

That's quite a nice collection of Brickarms weapons CA, especially with the prototypes and rares that you have. Among these I really like the golden gun and the ray gun. The retired olive green color looks interesting too, though the current camouflaged variants somehow made up for its absence.

Really nice pieces here, thanks for showing this unique collection. My favourite has to be the digi camo sniper rifle. The Short longslide ( ) is pretty awesome too, what with that being one of my favourtie Brickarms weapons...all compacted and whatnot. What's not to like?. Also, the minifig holding the longslide has some sort of dark grey neck accessory underneath the fire fighter breathing apparatus. I'm curious as to what that is. Would you mind telling me please?

Looks like a brickforge neck armour piece with brickforge segmented shoulder pauldron to me.

Loving the ray gun. not so much in the trans neon but the bronze looks great even with the barrel broken off.

Some nices rares there, never bought any brickarms before but I wish I'd picked up some chritmas camo... :cry_sad:

Envious of the golden gun and the ray gun.

Thanks! I like the camo a lot too, it more than makes up for it!

Thanks, and 'Brickenhead' is right about what pieces they are

Yup, you got the pieces right. And the raygun is probably my favorite out of this whole lot.

So would any of you guys be interested if I did other reviews like this in the future?

By all means! your pictures are good, showing the tiny details in the weapons well and your opinions are honest. You've half convinced me to get some Brickarms with this topic already, maybe you'd push me all the way with a review of the main products
