Achwan86 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Hi, Achwan86. with pleasure help you make your option for you lights. Thanks guys. I am looking at the thread now. I like this very much, simple and effective. Quote
LegoGabri Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I just equipped my unimog with a tipping bed, 2 trailers and a quick hitch, pictures will follow Quote
Graydingo Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Hi guys. New to Eurobricks. A lot of amazing mods in in this thread! I liked an early one of doing the tilt bed so I decided to make that my first mod. My last technic set was the 8860 chassis from like '82 which I just put back together (still had almost all the pieces). The unimog was a joy to build. Here's my pneumatic dump. I used parts from a hero factor kit as they were the only other recent technic parts I had. The pneumatic ram is from an old mid 80's set (maybe the first pneumatic kit?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ko5Si_immTk Quote
stefan_betula_pendula Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Nice first modification, and even a realistic one. Is the dump bed able to tilt to all three sites? It seems you placed the pneumatic cylinder more in the left of the Chassis. Quote
Graydingo Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I did indeed. I have very limited "new" studless technic pieces so my mod had to be very simple. I saw earlier in this thread a very nice 3 way mod with sub frame. Also I do want to add motors later so I wanted to leave the center of the chassis free. Quote
Pat-Ard Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Hi Graydingo, first of all, welcome on Eurobricks! Your MOD is really cool. Could you provide us with some more detailed pictures? Thanks. Pat Quote
Graydingo Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Thanks Pat. I'm very humbled by the outstanding attachments you all have made. I hope to build the B model by ordering parts off brinklink etc but I'm saving up for the MKII mobile crane currently. Here are some photos. I'm sure they seem very rudimentary to the master builders in here but I'm just getting started! :-) I guess you could call it a prototype. Of course I was lacking longer Technic beams which would have helped for my mounting hinge points as I wanted them to be rock solid. I was lucky i had that donor hero factory kit. Unfortunately the pieces from that kit are white/light gray and most are very short. what long pieces they have are singles in different colors. http://www.flickr.com/photos/117005685@N07/ I should mention that I wanted to keep the height no more than 1 stud higher than stock which I accomplished. The switch is run off the front line for the Unimog, but eventually I'll add in a switch so that both are operational. Quote
Pat-Ard Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) Hi folks, today nothing special ;-) Zmei_gorini4 provided me with two little beacons... Looks good... Have fun watching... And again special thanks to Zmei_gorini4 for those cool beacons and the quick supply. Pat Edited February 12, 2014 by Pat-Ard Quote
Graydingo Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Ah man those are awesome! How much for a pair Zmei_Gorini4? Totally need these on my 'mog! Quote
Zmei_gorini4 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) Thank you, Pat. I am very glad that you enjoyed these beacons. I look forward to the video of your trailer . Thanks again. Pat-Ard Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) Hi folks, just a little teaser... More pictures and details will follow... So far Pat Edited March 2, 2014 by Pat-Ard Quote
unimog123 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Nice colors. I like the double pneumatic cylinders as well, but I hope you are going to maintain those pesky hoses that are hanging all over the place. That's the one thing I don't like about pneumatics. Cool trailer though. Quote
Pat-Ard Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Thanks for your comments... Yes, I'll defenitly do something with the hoses. But yesterday it was too late and first I have to check what the best solution is. I don't really like cutting those hoses and than realizing, that I misplaced them... Quote
stefan_betula_pendula Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 today nothing special ;-) Nothing special, ha! These beacons are great and add a nice step to a better realism. Hope I'll get mine during the next week. I'm excited to see the trailer more in detail, because this one is also in my building queue. Quote
kevman Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 has anyone created a free wheeling winch using a driving ring and a changeover catch ? I would be interested in seeing it... Quote
Pat-Ard Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Details regarding the trailer are in this post: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=92609 Pat Quote

Pat-Ard Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Hi folks, it's me again... Today I'll show you my signaling trailer. Yes, the old one, but now the lights are flashing. Thanks to Zmei_gorini4 who provided me with the LEDs and the circuit. The circuit has three modes. Left, right and only the top most LEDs flashing. Have fun watching. Pat Quote
