nico71 Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 Hello Everyone ! I have failed to update my topic, so I do now : A big project, took at least 3 months to build : Citroen 2CV charleston including every original features like particular suspensions and removable bodywork : And the video : This creations allow me to be contacted by Official Brand Citroen, for displayed a copy of my 2Cv in their musuem about tory and reproduction of citroen car. The second creation is a thing I would male fo a long time : a clock powered by a Pneumatic engine ! http://www.nico71.fr/steampunk-pneumatic-clock/ Of course there are building instructions for the two creations ! But not bild of material for the 2CV. http://www.nico71.fr/citroen-2cv-charleston/ Quote
DrJB Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) Nico, I made an LXF of the 2CV chassis. Un MOC superbe that you've built. Hope you do not mind. http://www.eurobrick...pic=89140&st=25 http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=537067 Edited December 7, 2013 by DrJB Quote
Junpei Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Wow, that pneumatic clock is awesome, all the mechanisms are perfect! Quote
SheepEater Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) Hi Nico, I sent you an email oct. 27 about your road grader MOC and you never replied, so... here it is Hopefully my inventory will be useful to someone down the line. J'ai été étonné par le nombre d'engrenages (et de fonctions) considérant la taille du MOC. 1 yellow large curved panel 1 yellow large panels 1 x 5 x 11 2 gray large panels 1 x 5 x 11 1 gray 5x7 square beam 4 yellow beam 11.5 double bent 3 yellow beam 7 bent 4-4 2 Yellow beam 1 x 9 Bent (7-3) 2 yellow beam 1 x 9 bent (6-4) 2 yellow beam 3 x 5 l-shape 2 black beam 2 x 4 L-Shape 2 yellow beam 2 x 4 L-Shape 2 dkgray beam 2 x 4 L-Shape 6 yellow beam 1 x 15 4 yellow beam 1 x 13 10 yellow beam 1 x 11 4 black beam 1 x 9 1 yellow beam 1 x 9 4 black beam 1 x 7 2 yellow beam 1 x 7 7 yellow beam 1 x 5 2 blue beam 1 x 5 13 yellow beam 1 x 3 4 black beam 1 x 3 6 yellow beam 1 x 2 2 black technic triangle thin 2 Yellow Technic, Liftarm 3 x 5 L-Shape with Quarter Ellipse Thin 4 yellow liftarm 1 x 7 thin 2 black liftarm 1 x 5 thin 2 gray Liftarm 1 x 4 Thin with Stud Connector 4 yellow liftarm 1 x 4 thin 2 blue liftarm 1 x 4 thin 4 gray Liftarm 3 x 3 L-Shape Thin 2 black liftarm 3 x 3 l-shape thin 2 blue liftarm 3 x 3 l-shape thin 7 yellow liftarm 1 x 3 thin 1 gray Liftarm 1 x 3 with 2 Axle Holes and Pin / Crank 6 blue liftarm thin 1 x 2 4 black liftarm 1 x 2 thin 2 gray liftarm 1 x 2 thin 2 dkgray liftarm 1 x 2 thin 1 black link 9 1 dkgray new differential 7 gray gear 24t 2 dkgray gear 24t 2 gray crown gear 24t 3 gray gear 16 tooth 8 gray gear 8 tooth 3 gray gear 20 tooth double bevel 3 black gear 12 tooth double bevel 4 gray gear 12 Tooth Bevel 1 gray gear 12 tooth double bevel 3 gray worm gear 3 yellow technic Knob Wheel 6 gray pulley 1 gray steering wheel small, 3 Studs Diameter 2 black axle 10 3 gray axle 9 2 black axle 8 2 dkgray axle 8 with Stop 8 gray axle 7 13 black axle 6 11 gray axle 5 2 dkgray axle 5.5 With Stop 15 black axle 4 27 gray axle 3 1 black axle 3 7 dkgray axle 3 with stud 17 red axle 2 notched 4 black axle 2 notched 8 yellow Axle Connector (Smooth with x Hole + Orientation) 5 black Axle Connector (Smooth with x Hole + Orientation) 6 black Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Angled #1 6 yellow Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Angled #1 11 Black Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Angled #2 - 180 degrees 1 Black Axle and Pin Connector Angled #4 - 135 degrees 4 Yellow Axle and Pin Connector Angled #5 - 112.5 degrees 14 yellow Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with 2 Pin Holes 4 black Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with 2 Pin Holes 4 gray Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with 2 Pin Holes 7 Black Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with Center Pin Hole 4 Black Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with Center Pin Hole 2 Technic, Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with 4 Pins 2 dkgray Engine Crankshaft Center 2 gray Engine Crankshaft 7 Axle Connector (Ridged with x Hole x Orientation) 15 yellow Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3 black Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3 gray Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 1 dkgray Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 1 black Axle Connector with Axle Hole 4 Black Technic, Pin Connector Round with Slot (Pin Joiner Round) from 8265 2 gray old u-joint 2 yellow Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular Double Split 4 blue bionicle tooth 73 black pin with friction 27 black pin long with friction 36 blue axle pin with friction 8 Pin Long with Friction Ridges Lengthwise and Stop Bush 1 gray pin long 6 tan axle pin 1 gray Pin 1/2 2 dkgray Pin 3/4 1 gray ball axle pin 1 black ball pin 11 gray bush 1 black bush 5 gray Bush 1/2 Smooth 2 gray Bush 1/2 Smooth 6 yellow pistons 6 gray Engine Connecting Rod 1 black 2x2 round plate 1 trans yellow 2x2 round brick 1 black Round 2 x 2 with Rounded Bottom (Boat Stud) 4 clear Plate, Round 1 x 1 6 gray engine block 2 gray Pin Connector Block 1 x 5 x 3 6 gray Wheel 43.2mm D. x 18mm 6 black Tire 62.4mm D. x 20mm Edited January 23, 2014 by SheepEater Quote
captainmib Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 What an awesome deux chevaux! Really good job on the outside and the inside. Love the suspension and the way you fitted the engine, gearbox and steering in the front. Quote
Balrog Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 (edited) Hi Nico, I made a conversion of your Trophy Truck with CVT. I made it manual and included some other things instead of the CVT and PF. I included the 4-speed transmission of your Pro-Truck, seats, a V6 fake-engine and HOG-steering (though the HOG is not yet available here). The model is still 4x4. This is still the first iteration. I just thought, since this is originally your creation, I could post my sneak-peek here. The plan is to make a digital model now, then disassemble, re-work the center of the chassis with the transmission and steering, then re-build with a more reinforced chassis, slightly softer springs and some other changes, which I already though about. First of all will be a change of the gear ratio. I kept the original ratio in the portal hubs. But pushing it around in 1st and 2nd gear is really bad and not working very well. nico71 Posted December 10, 2013 Author Posted December 10, 2013 Hi Nico, I sent you an email oct. 27 about your road grader MOC and you never replied, so... here it is Hello, sorry to have not answered ! I have arround hundred messages (youtube, mail and facebook) of fan each day, now I can not handle and respond to all people. therefore, sorry to have missed your email. Thanks you all for your comment ! Quote
nico71 Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 One year after my loom, I present you a braiding machine which makes rope of wristband : I let you watch this and I will make a fully description as soon as my blog will be up to date. Quote
Jim Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Nice build Nico I really like these kind of machines and yours is no exception. The switching mechanism for alternating the output direction is very clever. Quote
KirTech LAB Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Great MOC!!! Incredibly complex mechanism! And really high productivity :) Quote
Hrafn Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Very nice! I too like the switching - it's always great to see such nice clean mechanical solutions. Quote
Splat Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Great work Nico. I'm a big fan of your Lego machines. Quote
Gee Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Fantastic! To echo the above sentiments - this is what I call Technic! So nice to see this sort of thing in a Technic world awash with crawlers and vehicles (not that that is necessarily a bad thing). Wouldn't it be great if LEGO made some sets that were actually useful machines such as this. Great stuff Nico! Quote
nico71 Posted December 29, 2013 Author Posted December 29, 2013 Hello, thank you for all your comments ! I am also a quite bit lazy of vehicle and trial truck, that is why I prefer at this time machinery, more demonstrative, purely technic, nothing is hidden, all mechanical system is shown because it is nice, maybe it is a sort of kinetic art. I am currently shooting the pictures for the building instructions :) Quote
Boxerlego Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Wow! That is incredible!! The pattern design on the rope looks awesome. Quote
Junpei Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 That's amazing! I love all the mechanics behind it and the realistic functionality, all recreated with Lego Quote
JGW3000 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Very nice and an inspiration! Thanks for posting Quote
ReflectioN Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 One of the more impressive Technic builders, I'm surely gonna look into building the Red 4x4 truck with CVT transmission. Quote
NevynPA Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 My 3 little girls were all amazed by it. As soon as there are instructions and a parts list, I'm going to have to look at how much I need to get to build one! Quote
Blakbird Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I've decided to try to build Nico's braiding machine, and as always, the first step for me is building it in MLCAD. This not only gives me a parts list, it gives me a preview of how everything goes together. In order to build the CAD file, I need to think about every single part. I decided to tackle the hardest part first: the main drum. No doubt this is an example of something that would have been a million times easier in LDD or SR3D, but I like to challenge myself and I love geometry! Not too bad for a day's work! Quote
