efferman Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 today i had an idea for the frónt stabilizers. i hope they will work in the model Quote
Milan Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Good outriggers. these kind of trucks does not need long outriggers, so they will fit perfectly. Eager to see next update. Quote
Thirdwigg Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Excellent. Very good use of a few parts. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) Nice legs Efferman..... I would be interested to see how you would make two stage legs. Edited January 7, 2014 by Alasdair Ryan Quote

efferman Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 indeed the complete stabilizer box, retracted 16 studs wide, extracted 31 studs Quote
Hrafn Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Very elegant! The module is quite compact when the legs are withdrawn. Will you be controlling the horizontal and vertical motions separately or will they be linked? Quote
efferman Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 Iam not sure at this time. And iam not not sure if the truck will be RC. RC would be fun to play, but with gearbox it will be a challenge to get all the functions in this size. Quote
Thirdwigg Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 The use of the LBG 1x5s at an angle is a great idea to keep the extended outrigger's flex to a minimum. I experienced this problem with my TGS. Great solution. Quote
efferman Posted January 9, 2014 Author Posted January 9, 2014 with a half stud offset, which the angled beam has, the gap will not really closed. and with only 4 studs overlap it will bend upward. the other handicap of this stabilizer design is that it blocks the chassis and no axles can go through the stabilizer box. so i have modified the outriggers a bit. The box is much more fat, but i have more stabilizing width (33studs) and the frame is free for drivetrains and something else. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Here are some ideas I came up with, you may find it of interest. Quote
Rishab N Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Looks like it'll be a nice compact model! Quote
efferman Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 very interresting how long someone can waste his time with one Detail. The third or fourth evolution step of the front outriggers Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 They are not easy to make,I also spent some time making mine. Quote
Bassemedkniven Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 ok, they are better than nothing, but please take a look at this picture 101_9398 von efferman auf Flickr can you see the problem? edit is it not funny? i want add a portal axle and what iam doing? a whole new chassis 101_9402 von efferman auf Flickr and why iam build so many times a chassis like a unimog? What kind of brick is it next to the L-shaped brick on the axle? I have never seen it before. Best regards. Quote
Technyk32231 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 What kind of brick is it next to the L-shaped brick on the axle? I have never seen it before. Best regards. I believe that is the portal hub from the 8110 Unimog. Quote
Bassemedkniven Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Naa, I meen the dark grey triangular brick next to the black L-shaped one. Seen on pic 3. Quote
Hrafn Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Naa, I meen the dark grey triangular brick next to the black L-shaped one. Seen on pic 3. Looks like 44135. Along with 44136 it's one of the few Bionicle pieces that's reasonably useful for Technic. Quote
Bassemedkniven Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Ok, thanks! Have to get me some of them. Quote
efferman Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 small weekend project. what have i changed at the standard 8265? Quote
Technyk32231 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 small weekend project. what have i changed at the standard 8265? Nice RC4WD tires! They even look like stock Lego tread! Quote
efferman Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 The length overall is the same, but the wheelbase is two studs longer to get the two PF-L in the front. The other L motor sits above the fake engine and powers the wheel. A M motor is placed under the drivers seat and is used for steering. Quote
efferman Posted January 13, 2014 Author Posted January 13, 2014 what do you think about these bucket? Quote
