Vader Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Do you think it is possible to order a bunch of mfpacks from the US (like TRU) for shipping to Germany and do you think that would still be cheaper?Vaders_son Like Ras stated TRU dont ship to europe and bricklink would be your best bet, ive had alot shipped to me from bricklink and people in the US and ive never had a problem. Just make sure to use someone who has a good feedback record. *vader* Quote
Vaders_son Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 well as time goes by I'll get a feeling for the members of this great Forum and will ask them if they can help me by sending some stuff to me. But BL always is an option of course, although I guess the prices will become higher very early in 07. Anyway - thanks for the help! Vaders_son Quote
Vader Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Well we do have a topic around here somewhere in the buy sell trade forum i believe that lists people who are great dealers so go check that out. *vader* Quote
Vaders_son Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I guess you're talking of the Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List. I read that several days ago and it will of course be important on my decision who to trust my money. thx again anyway Quote
Vader Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 That is indeed the list i was on about. Quote
Athos Posted November 20, 2006 Author Posted November 20, 2006 Wow. 80 replies. This has to be my most successful thread ever. Steve, who is still sick of Star Wars Quote
oo7 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Wow. 80 replies. This has to be my most successful thread ever. Well it's not because this thread has more replies, but that right there^^ was your 777 post. :-) Heh heh, Clickits. Quote
Athos Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 I'd completely forgotten about that thread. Guess I stopped reading after my question had been answered... Maybe I'll have to go back and see what all the fuss was about... Steve Quote
snefroe Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 well actually, it's amazing how successfull the sw line still is. old and new (but opened) sets are really hot even on the secondary market (the market where people buy/sell used sets). but to be honest, sw has always had the most attention from the Lego group in terms of box art and set design. So maybe it's not that difficult to see why people love these sets... Quote
Athos Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 I actually think it was a great concept and very well executed. I own most all of the minifig scale sets thus far, and have enjoyed most of them greatly. I just think the line is ready for retirement. We're rehashing set after set, with nothing really new anymore. And we seem to be neglecting anything new that could be done. The minifig packs are interesting, but nothing else really does it for me. Steve Quote
bdd Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I agree with the rehashing. I love the sets and I understand doing some ships over with newer pieces like the A-Wing, but enough is enough. How many more X-Wings and Tie's do we need that are all the same!? I think playsets would be nice but Lego says they don't sell. So why not make several playsets that are rather small for like $20 that come with a little ship or something. Quote
xwingyoda Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I know that SW AFOLs do complain a lot about redesigns, but once again lets not forget that Lego is a toy aimed as small kids ;-) New kids that come to the wonderland of Lego SW are happy to have the iconic ship they never got previously ;-) Its a fantastic opportunity for them, anf for Lucas to make big $$$ in the process :-D I really don't mind redesigns because the models are way better and filled with exciting new figs so all I say is... BRING IT ON !! *yoda* Quote
mutley777 Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I don't understand why this thread was started really. If you really don't like a certain product line DON'T BUY IT! >:-( there are plenty more great lego lines to buy. Quote

So why not make several playsets that are rather small for like $20 that come with a little ship or something. Well that's the point! Lego could design some small parts of a playset, e.g. tatooine house, slave quarters, cantina..., and sell them for low prices. I am sure that would sell very well because everyone wants to have nicely desinged sets for little money *y* You know that juwells stuff you can buy piece after piece to form a whole thing (don't know the English word, sry) ? - they sell very well because they are nice and everyone can afford some 10 Quote

Such a sily question. let me guess... a sw fan :-| ? if you're sick of this thread, then don't read it... besides, compared to all the critical stuff we've written in the past about too many police stations, not enough town essentials, lack of decent themes next to viking,... i'd say we've been rather kind to sw... *sad* Quote
oo7 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 City - how many police stations and firetrucks firestations do we need, Classic Space - when was the last set released.. This was the case a few years ago, but now in 2007 we are having a revolution, a new space theme is coming out and in the city line we are getting a garbage truck, cement mixer, and SEA PORT!!! :'-) Quote

But no need to go :-| . I'm not sick of this thread, nor SW. I really don't care iff it's going down or whatever, it's still lego. But, back to the subject :-) . oo7, oooh, I would really like to see that seaport soon! I also take a liking into city. :-) Quote
Athos Posted November 28, 2006 Author Posted November 28, 2006 I don't understand why this thread was started really. If you really don't like a certain product line DON'T BUY IT! there are plenty more great lego lines to buy. I started it because I used to look forward to the new Star Wars offerings each year. This year, however, when I surveyed the line, I was greatly underwhelmed. I was curious if this was a purely an individual personal feeling, or if there were others out there who felt the same way. I was also interested in seeing what other people's reasons were for feeling one way or the other. Steve, who had no idea the thread would go on this long... Quote
Ras 74 Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Steve: I really think this has been a good thread! To find out what people thinks out there of SW. Then I also know there are some (including myself) that don Quote
Athos Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 1. Are you feed up with LEGO in general? Very minorly, but not to the extent I am with Star Wars. Lego has produced some good sets this past year, including some surprisingly good sets (The Krusty Krab being one). 2. What other themes got your mind occupied instead (if not yes on question above)? Adventurers, Classic-Castle, Pirates, Classic-Town, but those are all old lines. Currently the only one that really interest me is Vikings, and it seems to have gone the way of the dodo too... STARWARS LEGO! Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 If your sick of lego join the dark side of the MEGABLOK'S but what's wrong with the 2007 lego sets? I see no problem they don't cost too much$ they look good new guns!! a proper AT ST pilot what more could you want. (don't answer that ;-) ) Quote

(don't answer that ;-) ) Nobody here is fed up with Lego. It's just the Lego Star Wars remakes that bothers some people :-/ . On the tpoic, I'm not really fed up with SW, I like the fact that the SW sets clearly evolve. It's always nice (to me) to see different versions of one vehicule. Besides, SW brings in a lot of cash, so I don't really think it should go. And if you don't like SW, just don't buy it then ;-) . Quote
