On another note, I accidentally opened a Series 10 (I got tired of feeling them for Mr. Gold a long time ago, and really just grab 5 at random whenever I see them) and it was Mr. Gold. Has anyone else found one? What would you do with a semi-opened Mr. Gold (I have not opened the little plastic bag yet)? I am tempted to MOC with him, but someone said these things are stupid expensive. I can think of a lot of fun stuff to do with those gold parts though in Kaliphlin MOCs.

Wow! Good for you!

Congrats, that's amazing! I'd sell it, though I might use it in the mean time. Like str0ngbad said, there's just too many fun things to do with $500... though Bricklink would probably be a better place to sell than ebay.

Congratz! I would totally sell it as I'm not a fan of chrome LEGO.

I also would suggest selling. I personally thought the figure looked cool until I saw it in chrome gold. Then I instantly fell out of love with him.

I also agree that the money that you could make from it would be great for other MOCs or (things unrelated to LEGO, as if). But for what my time is worth, I didn't see the point in feeling all of those packets for one.

The ultimate proof that the Kaliphlin are the greatest at obtaining precious metals. Even by accident.

He's yours, do what you will with him.

Yeah I have no idea what to do with it. Sadly, I had not really paid much attention to the Mr. Gold hype, figuring I would never get one. But thinking about how there are only 5000, it is really neat that I got him totally by surprise.

I guess I have time to think about it though. He almost became a statue on my Tour of Kaliphlin MOC though...

Cool, we are on a roll!!

Even Avalonians have the urge to build in our Guild

@Dragonfire: great choice!! :classic:

@Ska: I also would advice you (if you are going to sell it) to sell through Bricklink and not with Ebay :classic:

I think I have some time to sit on it and think. I have never sold on Bricklink before, I will look into that. I know ebay's fees are ridiculous now.

Kai, way to keep the builds coming strong!

Ska, If you decide to sell you could post in the buy sell trade forum here and maybe avoid BL's seller fees too.

Guys, I love this tourism theme stuff. The builds are all beautiful. I promise I'll get to the individual threads when I'm on my computer.

That is so cool! I think you're the first one on eurobricks. And don't sell it(unless you really, really, really, really need money) it is such a great thing to find. I would go nuts if I would find one to complete my collection. And about that, I think Lego should have added more, like a mr gold in 1 of fives boxes. Because prices are going sky high, which should not be possible for a child's toy. Think of all the children who want their collection to be complete.(and me  )

Well enough about my mr gold frustration. A grand effort on collaborating guys, great idea and well executed. Great to see the Kaliplhin strength combined. :sweet:

I went to one of the Lego stores here in the Dallas area, and they said they had at least 7 Mr. Golds in their store already. (I got mine from a Toys R Us) That means there were at least 8 Mr. Golds in North Texas alone!!! It seems disproportionate. I kind of owe it to my fiance to sell it if she wants, she has been so patient with my Lego hobby, and we could pay for a honeymoon with that money... but I really want to keep it.
