EXO-CHAMP Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 For some time now, I've been looking at all these beutiful ships you guys post here. I'm not a pirate fan (yet), but the coolness factor of these wooden behemoth doesn't escape me. My question is: Which land based MOC (I.e. town, fort, base or island) or original LEGO set the real pirate fans really like? Quote
oo7 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 There is already a thread like this one here. But I don't think there is a thread about you favorite pirate moc in general, so I think that my favorite pirate moc period is either BaronSat's Puerto Brico or ApophisV's Port Royal. Quote
EXO-CHAMP Posted September 23, 2006 Author Posted September 23, 2006 Ok. I'll look in the other tread then. Sorry about the double posting Quote
oo7 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Double posting? Huh? You didn't double post. Quote
EXO-CHAMP Posted September 23, 2006 Author Posted September 23, 2006 Yeah. Guess I meant making a post that already excist. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 23, 2006 Governor Posted September 23, 2006 Lads, if this thread can be made different to the other then it can work! The other thread is "which is your favourite MOC ship" so it this becoms "which is your favourite MOC base/fort/island" its asking an entirely different quesiton. Quote
EXO-CHAMP Posted September 23, 2006 Author Posted September 23, 2006 By all means Mr. Phes. No reason to waste a thread. I would be equally interrested in seeing the best islands and fortresses the MOCers can provide. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 24, 2006 Governor Posted September 24, 2006 That's exactly what I thought Mr EXO-CHAMP! Now, how about we start off by you telling us which town, fort, base or island MOC you like best? Quote
EXO-CHAMP Posted September 24, 2006 Author Posted September 24, 2006 Well I'm a novice at this pirate business, but I totally fell of my chair when I saw this: Torre de Bel Quote
EXO-CHAMP Posted September 24, 2006 Author Posted September 24, 2006 Now I come to think of it, it must be the smooth surfaces and the realistic look. And it reminds my of the Grandmasters palace I saw in the town of Rhodes (just got back from vacation). Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 24, 2006 Governor Posted September 24, 2006 I like ApophisV's Royal Port which is an old favourite around here. And Baron Sat's Puerto Brico which could almost pass as an official LEGO set. Quote
Scouty Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 And Baron Sat's Puerto Brico which could almost pass as an official LEGO set. Almost?? I like it alot as well. The ship is nice. Quote
