  1. 1. Will you continue or plan to continue posting MOCs for GoH still now that the final challenge for Chapter 1 is over?

    • Yes, I plan to continue to actively participate in GoH.
    • No, I am done with GoH.

what would we want to do with swamps and volcanos? no interest in ever going to Nocturnus, except for kicking the occasional drow ...

You guys could always use it as a retreat to escape the cold. Besides I'm certain Nocturnus has some valuable resources even for Mitgardians. Well maybe not as it seems Mitgardians are content with a IMO bleak lifestyle: rocks and snow

I'm thinking of actually building now that the Chapter has ended. I honestly just didn't enjoy it much... I liked the first two challenges best :sweet:. What might also work is a total revamp with new factions and everything. That would be awesome.

So far it looks like Kaliphlin has the most members planning to continue with GoH. However in reality Avalonia still has the most members as I know at least three of their members that plan to continue and didn't vote.

Kaliphlin

Masa of Kaliphlin,

SSchmidt,

Gideon,

Kayne,

Kai NRG,

gedren_y,

Erynlasgalen,

Damaximus,

SkaForHire,

Nightstalker,

I would not count out Nice Marmott, Robuko, Gabe, and a few others that might not have logged on this week to vote.

I love the idea of the Guilds. I would love to participate more, but I don't have a ton of LEGO time so I haven't been able to do what I wanted to do originally. But I will definitely keep an eye on things from time to time. A lot of great MOCs/stories coming out of here, so it is always worth a look.

I hope you find some time to get to do what you wanted to do originally. I know that my original plans have changed a bit mostly due to being more critical of my builds with my increasingly enlarged library of new building techniques. One idea that is helping me build my dream is what Ecclesiastes did with his Ondylion project. He posted a series of MOCs that connected together into a single massive display. So istead of being overwhelmed with trying to finish the project as a whole I am now slowly getting it done piece by piece.

I am not an active guild member, but I do enjoy following the builds here. I hope the group continues for a long time.

Its nice to have people admire our builds too even if they do not actively post MOCs. That is a problem that the guild leaders faced. They had to keep track of all the builds that they were missing time to do the building they wanted to do. So if a build really impresses you, by all means leave a comment so that the builder knows how much you liked it.

In a way I kind of agree with you about the first two challenges. (oddly enough I joined too late to participate in those 2) But the good thing is that even though you may not be particularly fond of the official storyline and challenges, you are free to create your own story and factions. Some of the most fun I've had is working with another GoH member on a single story. You have some great northern scenes and I believe we have yet to see some very interesting stories coming from you.

Definately not counting anyone out, although I fear Gabe might not have much of continued showing but then again when he does show up its with a MOC that totally makes up for his absence. I think I remember Robuko saying he was going to continue. And hopefully NM is just on vacation as no word from him since April.

Might be someone missing from the Avalonian list too I think...

Now that you officially voted, that brings my missing Avalonian count down to 2.

Sorry, I was in Denver. Now that summer is here, I'll try and throw in a few free-builds. Haha, never was much use to start with, but hopefully I can be a little more helpful this time.

I'm back for sure but at the same time I have to add that this will be only till September as I have to go abroad again for my second year of studies.

I need to change guilds if I'm going to continue GoH. Any guilds interested in an elite assassin guild?

Probably same here... While I love Mitgardia, Some of the other guilds need more members. Then again...

Kaliphlin would love to have you! You have a real knack for colors and Kaliphlin could use some more color. But what would happen to Antyria? Or are you talking about making a new guild? Anyway I'm not sure that it really matters what guild you are in as you can build bases for you assassin's guild in every guild like in Varlyrio. When Varlyrio first became the fifth guild, I considered joining it if it opened up for membership as I was having a hard time reconciling my projects with Kaliphlin. I use bley bricks for my castle and it looks out of place with the typical perspective of Kaliphlin architecture and terrain. But now I have gotten inspiration again like for my first challenge entry for GoH. I have thought out a scenerio that makes everything fit together. And the best part is I am now quite a better builder now than when I first started GoH.

I think cedrica has lots of unbuilt potential where all the guilds styles can be easily mixed. I may move

I think so too, it's a shame there are so few Cedrican builds!

I totally agree! Makes me want to go build some now... I imagine Cedrica being kind of like ancient Greece or Rome... How do you guys imagine it?

I imagine it as Medieval Paris, a very metropolitan city... Or if you are a reader of the Wheel of Time series, like Camlyn...

CBB, if you win the lore competition, I think OGM Zakon should just rule all the guilds. Then you would not have to choose a new one. If that doesn't happen, any of the guilds would be glad to have you.

I think I've had the break I needed now. I don't think I will participate at the same pace as last year, it was too exhausting really, but I will contibute some builds when the PGTC has something special in mind. If the rumoured Space Guilds project gets up and running I will probably give that more attention just to develop my building style and storytelling. I hope I can do both. I do love the Historica project and especially all the great people in this forum, but for me the builds have got too big and complex (or the standards have got too high :classic: ) to really want to compete at a high level. I would like to see more vignette challenges and smaller builds.

:classic:

CBB may make as much assassin vignettes as he want in Varlyrio, Avalonia, Mitgardia & Nocturnus

But Kaliphlin is the terrain of the I.A.M.S., so you first need our approval. :classic:

About Cedrica: you always can make some MOC's where people are repairing the houses and the walls :classic:

Back to the topic, I intend to start building and being very active in GoH. I have been watching this for quite some time now and I am glad I finally joined.

Im trying to claim cedrica...

I imagine it to be a blend of nocturnus and avalonia, with a few kaliphlinian essences. mitgardias very similar to avalonia, just with climat problems and more of a viking/norse/barbaric style of european middle ages while avalonias more central - south european.

you do realise the majority of AAG MOCs are now going to be centred upon Kaliphlin right?

like in the three musketeers? that place was awesome.
