I thought the political situation in Historica is similar to medieval european states, especially German regions. Where the king is elected by thd greatest lords and the overall leader to whom the lords owe loyalty. But his power is only as strong as his own domains allow. So he doesn't has that much influence of the guild's politics because they are too mighty.

But nevertheless it's clearly a gap that we don't know much about Cedrica. It was said in the Kaliphlin Challenge that Cedrica is similar in size to Petraea. It's strange that nobody ever visited the city. Every wanderer and meant who travels between the guilds should logically be forced to stop at Cedrica.

Beside that I could imagine the lands between the guilds and around the city as great desolation and wildernis. Like Eriador in Tolkien's Middleearth. A few isles of civilization but mainly uninhabited nature without roads.

Well, I don't remember the name of the King, but as far as I remember, book 1 left him disappeared, but not confirmed dead?

Things are starting to get very interesting here! The mysterious centre of Historica where borders fade and which travelers seemingly never cross...

Various stories and conspiracy theories are going through my head right now.

New guild confirmed

Are we prevented from building in the middle?

I guess not. But I would guess that we better not put to much story into the plane corners of the map, since it seems to be some kind of npc area where the game makers settle the main story (revolword saga e.g.. wasn't thr big final taking place in Cedrica?).

But Nocturnus does not end at the Rakath! We could need some mocs about the fallen angel to make clear it belongs to the east.

Bregir is indeed correct about the middle belonging the the king as opposed to any of the other guilds, and I believe the whole section around the city there is called Cedrica. It is to my understanding open for building (as JN pointed out, most of the entries in Challenge VI in Book I were located there), but I was under the impression that it was more of a grassy plane than a desolate wilderness, though I can't find a source for that at the moment  And sorry to dispel your conspiracy theories, but anyone can pass through it when travelling through the guilds - the Grand Griffon Tavern and Inn is located in the Cedrica area

I believe Garm us spot on. If memory serves me correctly, both the City and region are called Cedrica, and it serves as the ruling district for the 4 guilds. It is not a wasteland, but more of "open" land with plains, patches of trees, etc. Anyone can build there, but you cannot live there.

It is my impression that the City us in place primarily to serve the government. There are no goods produced for export here (other than politics and intrigue) but the City is large enough to support whatever buildings you could think of, and it does serve as a stopover for travelers and petitioners.

The Grand Griffon Tavern and Inn is indeed located in Cedrica

What exactly IS the fallen angel? Can't build it, with no knowledge of what it is.

I don't know, but it sounds like a meteorite crash crater (what it looks like on the map). I'm interested in the place too.

Yeah, but it might be a meteor crash site where now lived hordes of undead warriors who worship the demigod Daiseycup. I just don't want to get it wrong and be excommunicated.

You are right about the location. The fallen angel is that giant pit in front of the Kelra Labyrinth.

As far as I know there was never any larger story settled in that area. All I found was one vignette from 2013. So be brave and enter the dark dale.

Like every region in Historica the Fallen Angel is large enough to have several different landscapes and tribes. So do not worry about telling your own tales. As long as you do not claim that the whole crater is filled with pink marshmallow trees and declare yourself high king of the chocolate dale you can come up with whatever you want. Please get this right: it's not the problem what you do with this place, just keep the door open for others to enter. There's enough space that everyone can imagine a new story.

It's by no doubt a very rough and mysterious place to be. It's probably covered in dim twilight by the high walls of the crater. But there could also be light places in the middle, where the sunlight is not oppressed by the shadow of the deep rocks.

Will there be swamps? Forests? Lakes? What creatures are lurking in the dark? Are there ancient races who found a save home in the solitude of the dale? Ruins of lost civilizations who found their doom in the impact of the meteor?

It's all upon you. Be brave amd enter the twilight. Go with good hope and come back to tell us your adventures!

Perhaps the most inspiring speech I've ever heard! I know what I'm building next! (and covering it with pink marshmallow trees never crossed my mind. )

This was commended on one of LV's MOCs

I love your stories as usual! But you guys really need to get a running list of all your stories and collabs in one place! It's hard to follow sometimes!

I think he speaks the truth: isn't it time for a collab and saga-index?

The free build registration forms might be a good place to start- they've a good number of the MOCs.

The problem with that is that a lot of people add a new post rather than editing their existing post. The idea behind the registration thread is so that the guild leaders can evaluate and score our builds for guild points.

We're only supposed to have one post? :oh: :oh: :oh: *Hurries away from the anger of Z, de gothia, and ska.*

I thought we werd supposed to make a new post everty time, otherwise they would lose track of what they had already judged.

They don't judge anything before the deadline. Therefore there is a deadline.
